I feel it\'s a bit debatable to say that Pokémon Origins is DarkerAndEdgier than the original anime series, especially if one compares it to the early Kanto episodes.

I also have to wonder is it even noteworthy to have a sub-point stating that Origins acknowledges the dangers of wild Pokémon when the only example is [[OlympusMon Mewtwo]], and that several other Pokémon media have already covered this topic (even the anime explored this, in the first episode no less). YMMV of course, and I am not saying to remove this trope at all, but having watched the earliest episodes of the main anime recently, I think the trope might need a bit of clean up.

I feel it\'s a bit debatable to say that Pokémon Origins is DarkerAndEdgier than the original anime series, especially if one compares it to the early Kanto episodes. Charmander screaming in pain by Squirtle in Origins is, in my opinion, rather tame compare to Charmander being left alone in a rainstorm, struggling to stay alive and being attack by vicious Spearows, in the anime. YMMV of course, but having watched the earliest episodes recently, I think the trope needs a bit of clean up.

Your YMMV of course, but I believe that newcomers may get the wrong impression of what the original anime series is like.
