Yes, and that\\\'s fine if you\\\'re following it, and if seeing something like that makes you think \\\"Shit! I\\\'d better go and see what this is about,\\\" rather than what used to be my old reaction which was \\\"Eh, I\\\'m sure that whatever\\\'s going on, it won\\\'t be changed all that much. I can trust everybody to make the right decision,\\\" before moving on to read about the latest addition to a show\\\'s CMOF page.

But take something like what used to be called HelpFaceTurn, which I wasn\\\'t watching but which I liked the name of. It made sense; it\\\'s like HeelFaceTurn except that the villain \\\"helps\\\" the person onto the path of switching sides by being a dick to her. I saw an example of it in a work of fiction, and I added it to that work\\\'s page. \\\'\\\'That\\\'\\\' was when I found out that the name had been changed to MistreatmentInducedBetrayal, and that it was too late to do anything about it, and that I had nobody to blame but myself because I wasn\\\'t watching the page and weighing in on the forums.

As I said, I\\\'m not going to put absolutely everything on my watchlist. I would have to scroll through dozens and dozens of new changes every time I checked the thing. Usually I only watch pages that I anticipate interesting of funny things being added to that I\\\'d like to read about as they happen. So that means that I, and many others of like mind, are not going to be aware of unwelcome changes being suggested until it\\\'s too late. Unless we have the option of starting a new vote after the fact, that doesn\\\'t seem ideal.
