If that’s the case, then it’s a burn scar. Trigger can’t fit in all the plot holes since it’s a film (and they visibly did sacrifice plot over animation experimentation and technique), but I assume Galo would heal after the film setting since like all skin burns, it can take a while, and the film timeline stretched only a few days in length.

If Galo’s arm doesn’t heal (if however Trigger managed to add aftermath bonus material when Blu-Ray DVD hits shelves) , then it means Burnish flames were indeed badass powerful.
