I find it ridiculous that Canada is listed in the description of this trope as having basically the same education system as the US. That\'s patently false. Canada\'s education system is more similar to other common wealth countries. As a person who grew up in and was educated in Canada, I can tell you firsthand that the portrayal of high school in American media was super jarring for me, because of how different it seemed from what the average Canadian experience, education-wise, is.
