It seems as though this trope is given a host of \'subversions,\' without the description foreshadowing this. Some of the examples of \'defying\' or \'subverting\' this trope are slightly loose - at the least, they should usually involve examples where thoughts are sensed and yet they do not follow a sequence. Many of the sections could perhaps do with more positive examples, to illustrate what is being subverted (apparently everywhere) in the first place.
