EDIT: So according to the YKTTW, this was actually done as an attempt to cleanup RomanticTwoGirlFriendship and SchoolgirlLesbians by... making another identical trope? I\'m a bit confused, to be honest.
I think the goal was to make a \"it\'s just a phase\" trope, more akin to ExperimentedInCollege but it just wound up as a duplicate of RomanticTwoGirlFriendship.
