I'm starting to think it must be. I guess I imagined the protagonists being younger than they actually are...
Do they still have these?
I was recently reminded of a movie that I watched on TV when I was a kid (maybe 10 years ago or more, if that helps) about two kids who were probably preteens but maybe young teenagers meeting and falling in love before it ends in a breakup. The thing I remember most clearly was it started with the boy narrating something along the lines of "I'll warn you: this story doesn't have a happy ending." And then at the end, after they break up: "I warned you, this wasn't going to have a happy ending." The other thing I remember is that the last scene is the boy yelling the girl's name as she walks away, maybe in a park and *maybe* after a picnic. I have confirmed it is not My Girl (1991) and it's probably not Bridge To Terebithia either. Any help would be appreciated!
