Sounds like someone didn't agree that is should be a Trivia and randomly added a text explaining why they think it should be a real trope. Several other trivias do have an impact on narrative so I think this text is invalid.

It's not a trope. The narrative is affected, yes, but it's by events outside the creators' control. If the actor's Put on a Bus because of the misdemeanour, then it's the on-a-bus-putting that's the trope, not the actor's behaviour.

This exact line came up already in the trivia namespace thread. It was decided to revert ANT's edit, but it looks like nobody ever actually did... I got rid of it just now.

Its only a trope if it happens In-Universe.
