Yes, Nightmare Fuel Unleaded was renamed to High Octane Nightmare Fuel.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn. When and why was it renamed?
Don't remember when, but IIRC, it was changed because Unleaded was treated as The Same But More as Nightmare Fuel. The change was also to emphasize the difference between "regular" and "high octane" (read: unintentional versus intentional).
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.Apparently because Unleaded was used to denote "extra strong," but it was deemed not be applicable enough. So, it was changed to high octane to match up with the action genre.
Also, Nightmare Fuel was changed to Accidental Nightmare Fuel, to point out that this is something that frightens even though it wasn't meant to be scary.
I don't know if this goes here or not but was High Octane Nightmare Fuel previously called Nightmare Fuel Unleaded at one point? Because I've found that term used quite a lot on HONF pages, and sometimes it's a link that redirects to the main HONF page. If this was the old name when and why was it changed?
