Blue-and-Orange Morality in general (what he considers "needs apologizing for" are different from other people)
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenza
What's the trope for a character who steadfastly refuses to apologize for things he doesn't consider to be his fault or in the wrong, but is perfectly willing to do so when he does think he's responsible?
For instance, Bob insults Charlie by calling him a retard. When made to give a public Ordered Apology to Charlie, Bob not only maintains that Charlie suffers from mental problems, he adds that Charlie's parents were likely related and so were his grandparents before storming out. On his way out, he bumps into an old woman and immediately helps her up, apologizing and asking if she's all right.
