I'm not sure that counts. I took a brief look there, and all the examples were about genuine mistakes, usually ones that ruin a punchline in a joke or otherwise makes the text stop making sense. What I mean are changes that seem to be there just for the sake of changing something, and that don't really affect things. Sort of like a Dub Name Change for other things than names.
Edited by MichaelKatsuroDoesn't sound like a trope then.
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaCould I call it an invoked "Blind Idiot" Translation, then?
It feels tropeable. Might be worth taking to TLP, if you think there's enough examples.
^ No it isn't.
"What I mean are changes that seem to be there just for the sake of changing something, and that don't really affect things" means that there's no reason for it to happen. Therefore it isn't a trope.

I've noticed that some translations that I've compared to the original, which I like to do, just change things. Not change them for the better, like a Woolseyism, and not change them because the translator was too incompetent to do a good job, but like, the line "J'ai mangé un hamburger" will read "I ate a hot dog," for no reason at all.
Is that a trope?
