Don't think that's what I'm looking for. That looks like a case of a confession being interrupted. I'm thinking of a scenario such as someone is finally going to tell another their love for them but before they do they overhear someone else make a love confession to that very person or vise versa.

Is there a trope for when someone wants to confess their love for someone but someone else beats them to it or the person they want to confess to does so with another person.
