Maybe something under Rule of Perception? The audience can't see the shock wave or the shrapnel, so it doesn't harm the characters. Convection, Schmonvection and Do Not Touch the Funnel Cloud seem related.

Well, I'm talking about when the explosion is less fatal than it should've been (e.g. when in Fauda (warning, EXTREME Fauda spoilers for the 1st season) Boaz and later the sheikh were blown up (to a thousand pieces, only tiny bits and pieces left), the people only a few meters away were only shaken a little).

What is the opposite of the Ridiculously Potent Explosive: When an explosive goes off only a few meters away, but the characters suffer little to no damage from the blast, shrapnells and so on?
