After glancing over the Super-Persistent Predator page, I would call what you're looking for an inversion. Rather than following the protagonists to the ends of the earth, the predator determinedly stays in the same spot and refuses to leave, even after the prey has left and it would make much more sense for the predator to move on.

(I don't know anything about Land of the Lost, so I can't make a judgement based on that example.)

Well with the example I made, it's more of a case of the same predator coming back to get specific prey over again in that same area. With the grumpy example, the protagonists are always terrorized by him but they drive him off.
