Harsher in Hindsight, but In-Universe

Okay thanks. Now, would you place a YMMV trope that takes place In-Universe on the Main Page or would it remain in YMMV?

You can add a YMMV trope to a Main Page if you add "In-Universe" to the explanation.

ONLY if it happens in-universe, like if it happens in a movie the characters are watching or if it’s lampshaded by the characters (eg. “Wow, I knew Bob’s dad’s murder was sad, but it being tied to the genocide of his whole people is a whole new level of suck!”). Otherwise it remains in ymmv — abusing the In-Universe tag is bad form.

I think Cerebus Callback is flexible enough to work otherwise.

Okay, so it would be Cerebus Callback with a rare case in which the moment preceeding it is also dark? Because the example I have in mind is a dramatic moment that happens in a film's begining that ends up happening again near the end, just that the similarly repeated scenario is darker.

(Sorry if I'm starting to sound like I'm an employee from the Redundancy Department of Redundancy, I just want to be sure.)

I'm sorry, I'm going to muddy the waters here, but you might prefer Harsher in Hindsight. It's a YMMV trope, though.

In-Universe is valid for not JUST "characters watching a movie".

Go use HIH.

What I meant was HIH is an opinion, and it should stay on the YMMV page if it doesnt happen in universe. “Watching a movie” was an example of how it can happen in universe, not the only way.

Sorry, for some reason my brain just focussed on Cerebus Callback and missed the fact that Harsher in Hindsight had already been suggested...

It's okay! Thank you all for your help, you've all been great!
