I only see the one suspect edit and it's not as horrific as you guys seem to be implying. If I didn't know the guy was dead I wouldn't find it offensive at all, merely mildly off-topic for JBM.

Fighteer: That was my personal opinion of it, which is why I brought the question here instead of just deleting it and being on my merry way. If he had posted it a week from now, I don't think I'd have a problem with it. It's the timing I object to more than the content.

I remember after Michael Jackson died, everyone was in a rush to canonize him as a saint and completely ignore the child abuse situation, and I don't want to be doing that. While I feel we should be able to recognize his flaws, I deleted the comment because I just don't think we should be doing that here and now. Is that an appropriate attitude, or should I put that comment back and apologize?

Even if he hadn't died recently, (a) McDuffie wasn't actually involved with that series, so it doesn't belong on that page no matter what, and (b) it's not actually related to Ben10 at all, just to McDuffie's conduct on his personal website. It's like using the Star Trek The Next Generation IJBM page to complain about how Patrick Stewart was rude to you in a bar.
Then it's correct to remove the entry but not to ban the troper, unless he edit wars it back in.

I think either a warning or an explanation to the guy who added it is in order, though.
Somebody just posted a rather harshly worded criticism of Dwayne McDuffie on the Ben 10 JBM page. I think the criticism is valid, but I deleted it anyways because the man just died the other day, now is not a good time to be calling him a Jerkass. Did I do the right thing? Should it be added back? I do think there would be no problem had it been posted three days ago.
