The TVTropes Trope Finder is where you can come to ask questions like "Do we have this one?" and "What's the trope about...?" Trying to rediscover a long lost show or other medium but need a little help? Head to Media Finder and try your luck there. Want to propose a new trope? You should be over at You Know, That Thing Where.

Hurricane of Excuses seems to be specifically for when the reasons are lies, contradictory, or trying to get out of something on purpose.
If the second character is shooting down the ideas because while he wants to do any or all of them, he has legitimate reasons why he can't, would that be an inversion? Or is there some sort of supertrope? Or Missing Supertrope?
Is there a trope for when one character comes up with several ideas and they are all shot down by another in rapid succession? Things that follow this format, basically:
Alice: We could go to the mall.
Bob: Sorry, I'm broke.
Alice: Then how about the park?
Bob: No. Pollen's too strong this time of year.
Alice: We could hang out at your place.
Bob: No, my brother's having a party and I don't want to go near that mess.
