On a more literal level, there's Important Haircut.
I was just about to mention this as well. I think this deserves its own entry. A subset of "important haircut" I think "Comeback Shave" should be added. We've all seen the scene. Rambo/Archer/Jack Bauer gets brought in, after spending the last few months/years in retirement/seclusion/exile. He's sporting the beard he grew while living at the Buddhist temple/island/life as a grifter. "We have a mission. We need you back" "That's not me anymore" Reluctantly he agrees. Off to the bathroom... He gets clean shaven and that's when you know "he's back on the job".

When the protagonist starts out gruff: unkempt, beard, long hair. Then is asked to rejoin life, society, the mission. So protagonist visits the steamy bathroom to give him/herself a haircut/shave/shower/etc. to not only clean up on the outside, but reinvigorate the inside and prepare for what lies ahead?
