Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
When it happens to me (whether in that thread or in another), I just post the question again after a while. Some people either don't care about the question, or lack the familiarity required to give an answer.

Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupSo, does "Bumping" essentially mean that you're creating duplicate posts? I'm just curious.
I'm not sure how to add my pawprint to my signature on a keyboard...^ "Bumping" means making a filler post to either bump a forum thread up to the top of the first page of a forum or a reminder to other users of a post in a thread that didn't get any responded.
Edited by Excessive-Menace THE GOLDEN AGE WILL RETURN AGAIN!So, if I create a Bump post on the "Is This An Example" thread, then will it convince the other users to look back at my previous post?
I'm not sure how to add my pawprint to my signature on a keyboard...Bump is just a general name for posts that are meaningless by themselves and only exist to bring attention to some previous post. There's a higher chance someone will take a look, but it again isn't a guarantee.

I recently posted a trope related question on the "Is this an example" thread, however it went completely disregarded. I don't want to be rude and just keep spamming the same question over and over again until it gets answered, and I don't think the Holler feature is intended to be used for getting your question answered, so where should I go to get my question answered?
