When it happens to me (whether in that thread or in another), I just post the question again after a while. Some people either don't care about the question, or lack the familiarity required to give an answer.

Whenever my unanswered "Is this an example?" queries get lost, I often re-post said queries on the following page(s) if needed.

Bumping is fine as long as there's some buffer in both days and posts. After a couple of tries it's best to go with personal judgement, not everyone may know a good answer.

So, does "Bumping" essentially mean that you're creating duplicate posts? I'm just curious.

^ "Bumping" means making a filler post to either bump a forum thread up to the top of the first page of a forum or a reminder to other users of a post in a thread that didn't get any responded.

So, if I create a Bump post on the "Is This An Example" thread, then will it convince the other users to look back at my previous post?

Bump is just a general name for posts that are meaningless by themselves and only exist to bring attention to some previous post. There's a higher chance someone will take a look, but it again isn't a guarantee.
