Are you sure it was a movie? Because that plot is very similar to the first season of Why Women Kill. The redheaded wife discovers a button while cleaning their house and finds out it belongs to her husband's secretary. She eventually plots to have him killed by a violent neighbor.
Hello, Really? I could be wrong! I saw this in the late 70's, early '80's, late at night. It had already began when I came out with my drink of water. I was kinda sleepy, but it was interesting. Is there a title, at all? I'd only need to see a small part of it to recognize it. Wait! We lived in Bremerton, then, & our youngest son wasn't even two...which makes the year 1982! Was Why Women Kill on then? Because I don't remember the show being part of any ensemble.
XXXHey, no! That show wasn't it. I thought I recognized Ginnifer Goodwin from Once Upon A Time. This other lady was a bit older, with longer hair. The date on this show is 2019, which means they may have done a Remake of what I saw, years ago. I just pulled it up on my Apple TV, watched a few minutes,& am positive that this isn't it. What I watched was a bit...dark. Eeery... with no comedic intentions.

This movie came on late at night. It involved a middle aged (40-45?) married couple, who'd been married for years. Only he worked, & she kept a Flawless home! She had obvious OCD, plus she may have had a problem leaving the house. As she was cleaning, she found evidence of his infidelity (which doesn't surprise me because their sex life was,at best, pitiable). Surprisingly...she eventually murdered him. Also, the dialogue was her narrating it with her thoughts, I think. She just cleaned & straightened, & it was dead quiet, except for the sound of her voice... eerily so! Very obviously controversial, so it may be one of those films they felt was better left to gather dust on the shelf. Only saw it once. Thanks, I hope it's a helpful description.
