"Plot happens" is shorthand for "the outcome isn't surprisingly realistic, but just part of the plot". In other words, it's a kind of misuse. The term probably shouldn't be used in removal reasons, since not everyone is familiar with it.

I'm not sure if the removal is justified or not. I'm not familiar enough with the work to tell if the outcome is surprisingly realistic or not. Is this a work where people usually hit even when firing from the hip without aiming?

No, in fact it's not. The work is about a guy investigating the death of the girl he hooked up with.

Personally just reading the entry on my own and without knowledge of the work, this doesn't sound like a Surprisingly Realistic Outcome, and the deletion does read as justified. The entry just says "someone misses a gunshot, tries again and is more careful about it, then succeeds" — was there a reason why we should have expected otherwise?

We do have a thread for this sort of thing.

Ok, I'll go there soon. Thank you. Should I close this query?
