Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I think it's dependent whether or not the light novel has an anime adaptation. If it does, it goes under Anime & Manga. If not, it goes under Literature.
Understood, so in this case it'll be Anime and Manga (the LN in question is Fate Apocrypha). Thanks a lot!
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300No, we went over that in an earlier query. We go by the original medium, i.e. Literature, unless it's an example specific to the anime or manga adaptations.

Edited by StarSwordThat query only concludes with you proposing the topic to be brought to a Wiki Talk thread and do a crowner to decide where all Light Novel examples should go, and it was never updated to record the outcome there. Can you please provide the link to that WT thread if it exists, preferably showing the crowner results?
The reason why I'm a little distrustful is because the query you're citing has people saying the same thing Cyto told me, and you were the only one objecting to it. For the record, I had already put the Fate Apocrypha example into the trope page's Anime and Manga folder before you posted your reply here, as I hadn't read it yet.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300Literature and Anime & Manga are both correct so you can go either way if you wanted to but Light Novels aren't nearly as accessible or popular as their Anime/Manga adaptations. So, most people will be looking for example on the Anime & Manga section as people have said before.
Macron's notes^^Sorry, I was in a rush and misremembered what all had been discussed in that thread. 😖
^^ No problem. I'll make sure to read that thread to learn more
^^^ Got it, thanks!

There's an example I want to list in a trope article, but it pertains a light novel. Do examples from this medium go to Anime and Manga or Literature? Or do I need to place it into a dedicated Light Novel folder? Thanks in advance for the answer!
