Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread

I've issued a suspension for the edit war.
I haven't gone deep into the trailer itself either, but you'd think WandaVision would be enough precedence to not automatically jump to conclusions (assuming that really is Stewart). Barring a Hollywood trade casting announcement or something more solid than a Freeze-Frame Bonus, I'm good to keep X/Capt. Carter/et al. off the character sheet for now.
I just think adding detailed character pages to a movie that isn't out yet is completely unnecessary. At best, it's gonna lead to nothing but all spoilered entries, which are close to useless, and at worst it will lead to all spoilered entries that then need to be heavily edited.
I think there's this urge for some editors to be "first" in making changes, especially with MCU pages, but it rarely ends well.
In a similar vein, should the movie even have a Crowning Moment Of Awesome page already? It's half-filled with speculation, including an entry alleging Professor X is there.
Edited by AdannorCorrect me if I'm wrong, but I was under the impression that entries such as "X shows up in this work!" are not valid Awesome entries.
If that is true, the entry about Professor X would need to go.
I too share the feeling that it's way too early for alot of these entries. That said, we do allow troping of pre-release material (I guess in this case the trailer that came out during some sporting event).
I'm sure the trailer can have awesome moments, and some theoretical Crowning Moment of Awesome (it seems a bit much to me, but some people really get into this).
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meXenoslayer also has a history of adding names to a film or show’s character page without creating the respective character folders. Not sure if there’s a rule about that, but it creates a lot more work for the rest of us.
Looks like Dirtyblue removed the speculative entries on the character sheet. I've added this discussion in the tags for the page.
Xenoslayer 2137 has added a number of items to the Characters.Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness page that haven't been officially confirmed, and given that a couple in particular haven't even been hinted at by the trailers (at least as far as I'm aware), I'm willing to bet that it's at least partially based on rumors and/or leaks.
They're also edit warring over it. Maxiboy 136 deleted one with the edit reason (spoilered since this is an upcoming major blockbuster):
And Xenoslayer restored it with the following (slightly rude IMO) edit summary:
I haven't meticulously analysied the latest trailers and posters frame-by-frame / pixel-by-pixel like some people are intent on so I can't say for certain how much of the minutiae of this dispute is accurate.
