I agree. Those titles appear to be from the older days of the wiki. By title alone, I would think that "no more emperors" is a trope.
Space Battles Dot Com fanworks (unnoficial) index in my Sandbox.Bump.
ααααααα|I DO COMMISSIONS|αααααααI agree that the title is confusing, but do we have any evidence that this is causing problems? Is there misuse (like people potholing UsefulNotes. No More Emperors when they are not discussing Chinese history)?
"The Chinese Revolutionary Era" might be a better title.
Edited by TheMountainKing^ I thought of "Post-Imperial China", but that would work.

Bumping this a bit. Are there more sayings on renaming No More Emperors and Dynasties from Shang to Qing to a clearer title, especially the latter one since UsefulNotes.Imperial China or UsefulNotes. The Chinese Empire seems more CCW?
Edited by alnair20aug93 ααααααα|I DO COMMISSIONS|αααααααI didn't do a proper check or anything, but I found a couple. The entry for The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor on Renegade Russian doesn't seem to be using it to refer to the time period ("these characters wanted no more emperors"), and A Little Trouble in Big China lists it as a trope.

I know that No More Emperors is about the era in China between the fall of the Qing Dynasty in 1911 and the Communist takeover in 1949, but other people from other countries like Germany, Turkey, and Russia, who don't know the context of the title, might confuse it to their countries who used to be empires.
Moreover, from this query, I still think that UsefulNotes.Dynasties From Shang To Qing should be renamed to UsefulNotes.Imperial China. I feel like it's the detailed pages while the Main namespace is the Setting trope.
Also, what about UsefulNotes.Romanovs And Revolutions? Should it be renamed to the "Russian Revolution(s)" encompassing the revolutions happening in Russia at the end of the Romanov period?
I was going to ask if Soviet Russia, Ukraine, and So On should be renamed to the UsefulNotes.Union Of Soviet Socialist Republics, but AHI-3000 (notorious for undiscussed unilateral moves) moved it to UsefulNotes.Soviet Union without discussion back in March. I do feel like the UsefulNotes.Union Of Soviet Socialist Republics is the more accurate name for it despite being longer.
TL;DR. Should (some, not every) historical Useful Notes pages be renamed to a Clearer title, while also having concision and wit to those pages?
