I’ve seen Dorothea impersonating Edelgard memes because the former’s English voice actor replaced the matter’s English voice actor as Mitsuru from Persona 3.

None of it has to do with her voice.

From what I understand, the Spider-Man stuff is all just one weirdo who commissions art of Spider-Man with various girls, including Lucina, because he uses Spider-Man as a stand-in for himself.

Similarly, the Hooters outfit was also just one creep commissioning lots of art of that, though it might have become a trend because of him.

...I have no idea the origin of Lucina being Peppa Pig's arch-nemesis, but I actually like that one.

Because someone on a shitpost Peppa Pig wiki claimed Lucina was the antagonist.

There are a lot of Peppa Pig haters. I wonder if we could convert them into liking Fire Emblem.

On that note, how did Lucina become a Peppa Pig antagonist? I’m dying to hear.

Just dumped 7 levels of Bonus Exp into Mist, and was able to promote her with the Master Seal dropped in chapter 10. I'm sick of healers being so weak, so hell no I'm not going to slowly grind her up.

The chapter 11 map was scary. Went well for the most part, but most of my units weren't doing anything against the boss. In desperation, Ike stands his ground to keep the others alive as they rally around him, he crits for 20 damage, just as Mordecai transforms, and finishes it off. Then it became a scramble for the boat, as promoted Mist holds off 5 lance soldiers by herself as Titania tries to keep Black Knight distracted long enough to not gun for us. Turns out a bow boss is horrifying, when it's tanky enough to last the player phase.

I just realized it must suck being a mother in Fire Emblem. You're 98% likely to die lol

Eleanora made it somehow.

Please she wore so many death flags it was practically a passive skill.

They even had her have Sigurd as her Emblem just so they beat that dead horse even further.

x2 Eleonora gets out alive because she doesn't spend a lot of screen time with her son. She's there at the beginning of his tale and after chapter 22(x), and that's it. Lumera was in close proximity to Alear for some time and kept talking about how much she looked forward to spending time with them, she didn't have a chance.

Just be part of the manga timeline. Easy.

Fire Emblem parents die. And if they don't die, it's because an alternate timeline version of them did instead.

Bartre the Brave enters.

You can tell her son takes after her because he makes it to the end of Binding Blade as well (or, at the very least, we never see him die).

Parents in medieval fantasies die. Parents in violence oriented coming of age stories die. It’s really not notable at all.

Surely his wife will be by his side.

Honestly even by that metric I feel Fire Emblem is pretty bad for this

It would be refreshing to see parents not kick the bucket so early. I love Full Metal Alchemist because Edward's dad only dies after everything is resolved.

Be careful what you wish for: Three Houses had many of the parents die late or not at all, and the vast majority of them were total trash people.

Despite owning the game since launch, I picked Engage for the first time. I’ve got to stop buying games I never play. It’s also been a VERY long time since I’ve played video games as a whole, here’s hoping this hobby sticks again.

Anyways, I’m 20 hours in and enjoying it a lot. I’m playing on normal and it’s really hard. Then again, I keep using my lowest level base class units. Should I be grinding against enemies on the map to mediate this?

Pick a core team and stick with them. Keeping the bench warm is a noble duty, and not something to be ashamed of.

Skirmishes in Engage are really dumb, they scale insanely and are more difficult than the story missions. They are terrible for grinding.

The "answer" is to not try and level up every one of your units, but if you're committed to using everybody (like I was) it is doable on Normal at least, without skirmishes.

I’ll keep that in mind. I’m glad I’m committed to this hobby again.

EDIT: Am I the only one who thinks Engage is over animated? Regardless, I find it more appealing than still bodies conversing with one another.

I...hate...bird...Laguz. These things are a nightmare to fight. Chapter 12, trying to find a spot for the group to hide while Lethe and Titania try to bait them.
