Weren't the DLC maps discontinued?
Funds can only be added to the Wii U and 3DS Eshops via a connected account by adding funds from the Nintendo Switch, and the DLC will be locked from purchase as a whole in March 2023, at least from what I've heard.
Didn't really use the DLC here, but I'd guess that the scaling up would be at the same time as the Paralogues do. That said, Conquest, wasn't really made with grinding in mind.
And speaking of Conquest, picking up the Lunatic PMU again. It's Great Wall time.
FE: New Mystery Fresh Cart Lunatic 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Expert Unicorn Overlord 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiI've gotten up to Chapter 11 so far and doing adequately playing by Conquest rules, but it would be nice to have a plan B in case I run out of missions to get the second generation and possibly some weapon EXP during the main story.
We have more info on Sigurds Emblem on Twitter. He works best with Calvary, Armored, and Healer units
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Don't know about you all, but I'm using M Byleth for Alear.
Gotta commit to that CF theme.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.…Byleth buffs the field by giving numerous relics to people.
Red Alear will likely not even be playable.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Yes but consider he doesn't have that awful shade of green hair. Just his OG hair.
Best reason to do CF and get Byleth's hair back to looking good.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I can get behind hair color being a deciding factor here.
In any case I always see M!Byleth as being more associated with Verdant Wind. Wonder if the Emblems can "Switch forms" as it where, otherwise Engage and Three Hopes will be at odds with one another.
Bleye knows Sabers.M Byleth for CF, VW, and SS.
F Byleth for that one AM run where I romanced Dimitri.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. What do you have against battle corsets and combat pantyhose?
Bleye knows Sabers.Engage Mode results in everyone getting glowing weird hair so it’s not really a difference. Heck Byleth turns his users hair purple like his Emblems gemstone!
Meanwhile Veronica is having a figure made on her Book VI design
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Female Byleth is more popular with every route than Male Byleth but the reason Male Byleth has a slightly bigger association for VW for people is because the Claudeleth fandom isn't as big or rabid as the Dimileth and Edeleth fandom. Also the girls in GD are much more popular on average than the girls in other routes and that has an effect on content creation.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."To be fair here, Edelgard and Rhea were created to be antagonists first.
Hence why Silver Snow has Byleth kill Edelgard (as well as Thales) and Rhea. Dimitri and Claude were fleshed out as heroes first with Dimitri's crazy boar phase being a detour.
"You can't change the world without getting your hands dirty."...One heck of a "detour" that was...
I've always wondered why Enlightened Byleth got the lightest shade of green hair they could pick. It's practically white with green tint. Maybe that was the point.

Koi seji to / mitarashigawa ni / seshi misogi / kami wa ukezu zo / nari ni kerashi mo (KKS #501)Considering how irrelevant Claude and Dimitri are in the grand scheme of things, compared to Edelgard, Rhea, Byleth, and Thales, it does make sense.
SS doesn't really know what to do with them so they are defeated off-camera so Byleth stays the lead.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.TBH it doesn't seem like Silver Snow knows what to do with anyone.
Koi seji to / mitarashigawa ni / seshi misogi / kami wa ukezu zo / nari ni kerashi mo (KKS #501)Well it does succeed with it's most basic idea of Byleth growing to be the supreme leader of Fodlan as their divine mandate to guide Fodlan.
Like sure it doesn't really focus on Rhea at all because to be blunt, it's not supposed to by design. At best she still serves as a symbol of the old order that needs fresh blood and reform which is what Byleth brings. Even when she romances Byleth, there's still mention of how she and Byleth bring reform to the system.
SS is the Byleth route, it's about how they grow to be the leader Fodlan needs. It's why the mural focuses on them. And why they look so sad and miserable leading. XD.
In a vacuum SS is fine. That's the problem. VW just does it better since it has a a character who can talk like Claude, and there's also a theme of ending xenophobia.
SS Byleth has none of the lords alive or at least in contact with them.
VW Byleth rules Fodlan and has good relations with Almyra with King Claude.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I take it all back. Engage is based because of this fact:

I think it's likely that characters like Corrin and Byleth will not be from any specified route, as that's the best way not to play favorites or force one route onto other people like a jackass. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Corrin and Byleth aren't from any of their official game's routes whatsoever.
Or maybe the devs will do the right thing and have this Byleth come from Cindered Shadows.
Oh it's just a joke.
But I do appreciate that Emblem Byleth is a dude and had the CF hair NGL.
But if they do seriously canonize CF by mentioning that Byleth teaches Edelgard and doesn't like Rhea, then I will laugh my ass off.
EDIT: Oh yeah, doesn't Engage Byleth have Edelgard's axe?

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. If you do end up laughing your ass off, make sure you do it in a way that's not being an ass towards others on the thread; we do have a "Don't be a dick" rule, after all.
Personally, I feel like they probably won't specify which house Byleth chose, since doing that makes it easier for players to imagine Byleth teaching their favorite house without stepping on other people's toes. Heck, I wouldn't be too surprised if it turned out the Byleth in Engage didn't come from a specific chapter in Three Houses, including White Clouds.
We do kind of have precedence with that reasoning, as Fire Emblem Warriors didn't mention any routes for Corrin. Or maybe the scenario where this Byleth is from is one not seen in Three Houses or Three Hopes.

Yeah when have I ever bullied anyone for their choice of route/Waifu?
Nah man, It was his wedding gift from her after they fucked in Rhea's room.
Gameplay doesn't let him take it from her on BL or GD.
Still the fact that Byleth has Aymr is implying this Byleth is Edelgard adjacent. How interesting.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.Jokes aside, where was Byleth shown having an axe? Was it in a Twitter post or something, because I don't recall seeing it in the gameplay trailer, where Byleth is shown with the Sword of the Creator. Which means that Byleth probably still has the Crest stone in their heart.
EDIT: Never mind, found where it was in the trailer. It would not surprise me if Areadbhar and Failnaught are also in the game, like how they were in Smash Ultimate.

I may consider buying some of the DLC packs to help me with my playthrough of Conquest, since optional challenge fights are no longer a thing and I (presumably) need to budget my battles wisely to maximize my relationships as soon as possible. I hear Boo Camp is the one exception that allows EXP grinding for a Conquest playthrough, so I might go for that (and possibly Ghostly Gold for the gold). What story chapter do these DLC maps scale to in terms of difficulty and enemy strength? Are there any other DLC packs that could prove to be essential?
