x5 There is, but Rinkah's painted-on abs really don't help her when Birthright just wants the player to EP roll the enemy army. I remember mine even being Str blessed and her damage output was still hilariously bad.

Physical-oriented ladies get no respect in Hoshido. They even decreased Hana's damage in Revelations just because... The programmers hate her, I guess.

Indeed, she got benched pretty quickly in spite of being the only default club user on that front.

Alearofficial on tumblr is speculating based on translating things from Japanese there’s a sixth country: The land of evil dragons.

Most likely that’s where Zephia and the Four Hounds are from based on how the story frames them as a group separate from Ellusia yet Hyacinth is shown to be working for Sombron directly.

Rinkah’s bad S Trength + bad club might + no str support partner = go magic in birthright.

Theory time: The main lords will all die and their younger siblings are the actual real protagonists and the true lords of the story.

This is all based on the idea that the main poster has the younger siblings in the forefront with a bigger presence versus the older siblings who have a smaller presence:

Engage Anna is being shown today. She’s noticeably younger than other Anna’s and is an apprentice merchant

besides Griffins returning with enemy healers who ride some, we have Wolf Knights apparently.

Edit: Also I just now noticed that the games dancer might be male? Which is surprising. Games usually go for females for that role.

Talk command comes back, with you being able to recruit some characters with it. You can also only talk to certain characters with certain units.

I actually always keep Rinkah on the team because she makes guys like Kaze or Hinako hit harder.

So others out there figure out what the peaceful countries theme naming is:

Firene = Luxury goods.

Ellusia = plants

Evil Dragon Kingdom = Earthly/Dark Colors

Brodia = Gems

Solm = Italian Desserts

@Omega Radiance: Yeah I also suspected that weird black land around Lythios was another country. I did fiund weird that no one really acknowledged it, so I guess now we know why (maybe it's records have been potentially wiped out from the continent, not unlike another evil group who was forced underground...).

@Kuroi: That's the main thing tho. Rinkah wants to be a tank but she was given the wrong class (she should be an Armor Knight IMO). Nyx has a similar problem as well; she wants to be a glass cannon but her default class is better suited for bulky mages instead.

Why am I getting the feeling this game has multiple routes? I'm pretty sure I'm wrong but it would explain a bit with the recruitable characters.

Well, it's something they've done in two of the last three games, so it's not unprecedented.

I'm not thinking they're going to do it right now, given that the game releases in two months and they haven't said anything about multiple routes. Unless they want it to be a surprise or something...

No obvious/advertised route choices doesn't mean there can't be mid-story route splits.

Corin having a line that references Fates does not mean a route split, come on people.

Maybe there'll be something like Breath of Fire IV, where you can join the villain at the last minute... and you have to kill your allies yourself if you do.

I've actually put that on my to play list because I heard the story is slit between the hero and villain.

I do love stories with switching POV.

That's actually a very interesting observation. You should put that in WMG.

Also they still haven't shown any ingame shapeshifting as Lumere only transforms in a cutscene and we know she dies early on. Zephia is also apparently a Wyvern Rider despite being a confirmed manakete. With Veyle who is also theorized as a dragon apparently being a mage, Alear still not showing any dragon attributes, and the new Wolf Knight class (which I love) I'm a bit worried about shapeshifting units not existing in the game again.

Where is the Wolf Knight clas shown?

@Blackress Oni Savage are designed to be tanky fighters. They have one less defense than Armor Knights but without the Armor weakness. It's just that Rinkah is your only natural Oni Savage, the rest has to be reclassed or captured.

In the recent Emblem trailer, there's a girl named Merrin who is engaged with Lyn and her class seems to be a wolf rider.

Of course, being tanky with absolutely no killing power in an Enemy-Phase-focused route isn't really helpful. The way her personality is, it also seems like she should be Hoshidan Effie. But instead of getting Effie's massive counterattack damage, Rinkah just gets to be a total noodle arm. It's basically backpack or bust.

Well, if she can get a backpack, she'd probably do better but she would only benefit from Oni Savage Hinata or Apothecary Azama because no husbando have both a Strength pair-up support and class.

She has better luck in Revelation.

I think it's to keep with the theme of Hoshido units being fast but frail?

But she isn't frail. She has some of the highest Defense growth in Birthright.

The problem is that she has no way of hitting back.
