Speaking of the masquerade ball, i'd get Claude to dress up as Michalis, and Dimitri as Zelphiel. Here's an alternate idea, what about a school play? You can do a ff7 thing where you can play by the script or make it as silly as possible.

So for a throwback, I did the Battle of Eagle and Lion for real with only the BL characters. I rounded it out with Gilbert.

Everyone but Dedue, Annette, and Ingrid died. Why must the alliance get in the way and kill so many! But Ingrid was the one who ended up defeating Edelgard, and I left a Demon thing still alive. And yay! Dimitri is sane now!

In a potential school play DLC, i think that Black Eagles would be based on Genealogy of the holy war with Edelgard playing the role of Arvis and Ferdinand would play Sigurd. Blue Lions would be based on Shadow Dragon, with Dimitri playing Marth, and then they drag Felix to play Michalis. And Golden Deer would be path of Radience, and i just want to see Lysithea as the Black Knight, Claude could play Ike or Ashnard, i kinda want to see Claude ham it up.

If they want to completely break the fourth wall they could do a Genealogy play where the lords play Sigurd, Quan and Eldigan.

So apparently, the only things new in Maddening are STRS, moving bosses, like DK, and stats inflation for enemies.

The enemies also have skills depending on what classes they are. And the Death Knight apparently has a Rafail Gem to counter Lysithea cheese.

Makes sense since he is the one who gives it to Mercedes and has the crest O_o;

A-hem. Anyway, about suddenly having a boatload of Renown when loading up your NG+ save, it's because this patch also added 10,000 to the NG+ starting bonus renown, and retroactively applied it to previous saves too. So if you're already on your second cycle, you get 10,000 free renown, if you're on your third you get 20,000, ect.

That's kind of insane. Guess I'll be avoiding New Game+ in the future.

You can also simply not spend all that extra renown on anything.

Why would you avoid the opportunity to level up skills early and finish the statues?

Right, i have this challenge gamer friend, who went through multiple playthroughs just to get all the Supports. ALL OF THEM. And now he's doing a blue lion run without NG+ just to get the new title screen.

x4 Eh, I could, but then I'd have to keep track of what I should actually have in the bank and not accidentally overspend. Just not doing it also keeps out whatever other baggage New game+ may bring with it. Maybe if I find a very specific reason to do it when I'm routing Infernal later on, but we'll have to see.

x3 Pretty much what Metaflare said. Same reason I don't just buy logbook/online characters/skills in the 3DS games and use them to roll over everything (or use any of the grinding DLC).

Not going to lie, every time I hear the first chorus of "Edge of Dawn" (the part that starts with "As I live out each peaceful day...), I can't help but think of Anankos and how well that particular part of the song fits his predicament.

Speaking of songs, I was thinking about if we got remakes for Elibe, Jugdral, and Tellius, the developers should totally have new songs that play in the credits.

The Elibe remake would have Idunn singing about what it's like to finally start regaining what she lost and maybe musing about how perhaps humans and dragons could co-exist once more.

The Jugdral remake would have Loptous singing the saltiest and pettiest song you ever heard, with lyrics that do the following:

• Mocking Sigurd for being a worthless cuckold and loser who burned out before he could accomplish anything worthwhile.
• Insulting Arvis for being a worthless pawn who will forever be remembered as the guy who bonked his own sister.
• Cursing Seliph, calling him the son of two losers, and overall saying how happy Loptous is both of them are dead.
• Insulting you, the player, accusing you of only buying the game to ruin his plans and hoping that buying the game means you can't pay your bills.
• Wait about a minute after the song ends, and Loptous very grudgingly thanks you for buying the game anyways...useless ape.

The Tellius remake has Oliver singing a bombastic opera on how he defied even the Goddess herself to restore the world and help save the lovely herons from extinction. Oh, and there was a guy named Ike or something, but he wasn't that important.

Impossible. That trend is sad, tragic songs. So if anything it'll be aobut Arvis and the tragedy of managing to make the world better fall apart because the evil cult.

Nah, it still fits. See, it's from Loptous's point-of-view, and what Loptous sees as tragic is different from what the other past singers see as tragic. He sees his loss as a tragedy greater than anything else in the series.

Seriously though, I wouldn't mind the "tragic song" pattern being broken if we do end up getting Oliver singing an opera about himself.

Tellius already had Life Returns and Dawn Awakens. Sure, the lyrics aren't any real language (I think? Might've heard they were backwards Japanese or something), but they do have vocals.

That's not to say Oliver hamming it up wouldn't be funny, though. Don't get me wrong. :P Or that.
