Judging by her new Signamancy, which draws from the Aztec goddess of Earth and Death, Coatlicue?

She’s going to be a ferocious, dangerous opponent for absolutely anyone who threatens to harm her or her “children”, and she will “birth” a child that is not hers, but will be a god among gods.

But judging by her character? I think she may be immature, but she also has SO MUCH LESS baggage than everyone around her, that it may well make her an Only Sane Man for the next arc of the story. I also liked her well enough, she’s level headed, not arrogant or vindictive or prejuidiced, and she’s definetly got at least basic competence and some lateral thinking going on, what with the talk she had with Benny sans bats. Im not sure I understand Generica's business model. "Selling cheap crap" doesnt sound like a very likely way to become a very wealthy side.

Plenty of real-life companies work that way. It doesn't make you look good, but it's profitable at least in the short term.

Companies may, but nations dont. Ask China.

First Mate Lucy and Captain Tanya. LucyTanya. This should be entertaining to watch. Especially when Fumo was popped to burn tobacco and ships, and he's all out of tobacco.

Edit: Ooh, someone in the Erfworld forums pointed out that "TPS Challenger", while a classic ship name, is also the name of a Space Shuttle that exploded shortly after takeoff, AND a "Tide Pod Challenge" meme.

Prologue 6.

I'm seriously losing the thread of this story.

There's two stories now. One follows Fumo as he becomes a prisoner on a ship, the other is following the master signamancer and his wife who are living in an abandoned city. I dont think the two stores will overlap much from this part forward.

The way I see it, this prologue expands on some hints from previous chapter. 1. A side rule by a Grand Abbie ready to take in all the Hippiemancers. 2. Fate intervention/constructs. 3. Signamancy particulars.

Man, Rob and crew just can't catch any breaks, can they? Frankly, I've been disenchanted with the comic for a while since it stopped being about Parson creatively breaking the rules and turned into some kind of elaborate, long-running drama without the slightest clue where it's headed. I still read it, though, and I'll wait for its return whenever that is.

I figured something was up when they didn't update for a month.
