In case you missed it, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory came out, and among the tracks included in the game, there's the Dream Drop Distance remix of "Calling".
That makes a TWEWY song one of only two songs (the other being "One Winged Angel") to have versions in two unrelated Square-Enix rhythm games so far.
This is going to be so much fun.

While I agree that it's best to keep expectations in check, I don't think this is likely to be anime-related. Big countdown announcements are uncommon for anime, and generally only done for the actual series unveiling. ...And, you know, it already has it's own site

ok we are on day 6 and it has a picture of a smart phone with a rectangle with a line though it and some kind of screensaver in the back. the final reveal will be about 9.5 hrs from now
edit:we are also apperently getting anime news 4 hours before the countdown news. so it seems the countdown isnt anime related

Okay I actually watched the video now. Holy crap it’s beautiful. They nailed the 3D-fication of the art style. Also: playable Sho Minamimoto! Holy crap. Day one.

So I'm wondering if this is a prequel or is it that Sho got demoted for all the crap he pulled. Game play looks less interesting than the original game but that's something better felt than seen I imagine.

Smartphones and 104 being in the current logo font of 109 suggests that, if it's not an alternate timeline, then it's probably a sequel given TWEWY has very much become a period piece of the 00s.
