Without a word, he turned around, and drew the Master Sword,dashing towards the Nomad, with the Mirror Shield raised to deflect any blasts that might have come his way.

"Hyahh!"

Great..... Spin!!

He leaped into the air and spun twice as he passed Quingenti, a trail of red energy emanating from his blade, greatly increasing its range and power as it slashed across the god's "body" - Link's ultimate sword technique.

As he landed on the ground, he raised his blade again - and rushed into the fray.

Spriggan told Durant, who nodded at him as he kept his eye on Michael and the Stig since they don't have any good weapons to fight back with.

The TGS agent raised his LMG to fire at Quingenti.

Once the attacks had cleared... Quingenti fell. He slamed into the ground, hard, wounds all over his body leaking liquid obsidian. The naginata stuck out of his body, a testament to his defeat.

But despite the fact that he was surely dying, the nomad laughed.

Xi slowly, slowly, stirred.

Don't kill him, I need stuff to happen for plot.

Seeing the Nomad fall, Natsu walked over to Blink, his flames dying down. "...Is she alright?" The Dragonslayer asked, his eyes back to normal now.

Always be ready to do the unusual and unexpected.

"It is done, then."

Turning around, Link walked back to where Blink - no, Xi was.

He was certain that the danger had passed.

"Alright, I want to know why Blink's a Nomad, and I want an explanation right now."

Bowser didn't know about that due to being dead, thanks to Omega earlier.

Spriggan said after he partially lowered the K3.

"Calm down, guys, give her some air..." Rey said, waving a hand slightly. "And don't worry about it, Bowser, she's on our side. She always has been."

"Basically," Kimimaro walked up to Bowser, "Blink - or Kamiyu, her original name - was once a mortal girl living a peaceful, happy life. Then Quingenti found her, destroyed everything she loved, forced upon her the powers of a Nomad, and then spent an unknown amount of time - perhaps centuries or even millennia - abusing her physically, emotionally, and likely sexually, all to break her utterly. When we came along, she saw a chance for revenge and freedom, and took on the name of Blink, her own memories of being a Nomad sealed whenever she is in her "human" form, to help us and her gain freedom. That..." he pointed to the dying, insanely-laughing Nomad, "is Quingenti, the one who turned her into a Nomad against her will and brutalized her."

Rey glanced over, getting to his feet and starting towards the other Nomad, frowning slightly as he studied the downed creature.

Easing back into life one step at a time

"What are you laughing about, you son of a bitch?" Gordon said, eyeing the dying nomad.

"Hahahaha..." Quingenti, lying on his back, tried to sit up, and failed. "You... you think that... that this is my only body?"

Quigenti coughed liquid darkness, and chuckled again. "You have killed me... that's true... but I have thousands of construct bodies. I will simply go to inhabit a new one..."

Gordon stared. They'd just taken down their first nomad, only to achieve nothing? No way in hell.

He shot Quingenti in the side. The nomad laughed.

"I'll simply come back... and your last moments will be filled with pain the likes of which you've never felt before..."

And suddenly, Xi was on her feet. She stared at Quingenti for a moment, and shuddered, shutting her eyes tightly... until she strode over to the nomad and grasped her naginata, looking down at him. She was shivering just looking at him, but she gripped her weapon tightly.

"And... you... I'll fix you again... Xi..."

Quingenti chuckled.

Xi took a deep breath, shut her eyes, then opened them again, and spoke. "This was meant to free my friends... and myself. But that can't happen anymore, so I'll do it to you."

Quingenti looked briefly quizzical... and then there was a crack from Xi's naginata. She ground it in, as energy began to flow from her body, to Quingenti's. "What was mine... I give to you."

Quingenti briefly grinned, as Xi pumped everything that made her a nomad into him. What the obsidian nomad didn't know, was that the power was far, far too much for a single nomad to support, in any body. As the lines of light were sucked down the naginata, Xi ceased to exist... and Blink was in her place.

Then, the memory transfer began. Every memory of being Xi fled Blink's mind and transfered itself into Quingenti. Quingenti was suddenly hit with all the horror he had inflicted on Xi, from Xi's persepctive.

The last thing to fade and send itself into Quingenti's body was the naginata. Blink, having removed both all her memories of being a nomad and everything that made her a nomad, slipped back into unconciousness.

Unable to contain the power, Quingenti's body tore apart at the seams. But it didn't stop there. As his essence fled to a construct, it too was destroyed by the new power he'd been given. This happened again and again, until Quingenti had no body to flee to. Finally, the power utterly destroyed his essence. Quingenti was gone forever, destroyed utterly in every sense of the word.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Rey stared at what was happening, then grunted and moved to catch Blink before she could completely collapse, holding her tightly, eyes wide. "What just happened?"

Naoto moved to help Rey catch Blink. She was a bit baffled by the display, but still said "Well...whatever she did we probably won't be seeing him ever again."

Natsu nodded, glad to see that Blink had her day. He smiled at the tired girl and gave her a thumbs up.

Eta felt the death of Quingenti, roiling over him like a slick wave. It has begun... He thought as he continued his work on Omega.

"One down and there's plenty more to go."

"Blink... What did you just do?"

"She broke him... destroyed her captor. She is free."

Link sheathed his sword, and spoke quietly to the unconscious girl.

"You are free, Blink. Free."

He smiled, though briefly.

"There are still the others that we have to deal with, though."

"... Blink?" Gordon asked.

Slowly, the girl opened her eyes... and smiled. "Hi everybody... my head kinda feels funny... Um..."

Blink blinked a few times, looking like she was trying to remember something. "What are you talking about, Mister Doctor? I was just hanging around... wait... where the heck are we? This place is really different! Is this a new challenge?"

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Rey nodded to Naoto, then grunted and stood, holding Blink. "You okay, Blink? You just did something pretty serious here..."

This comment was added as an aside to the Doctor. Then, he spoke again.

"It's good you're alright, Blink."
