It seems fishy, but it emulates tropes from The '80s so perfectly...

It's a pretty damn accurate depictment of 80s sex ed vids but I became convinced it's fake when Mario's moustache became the pubic hair. Surely people in the 80s weren't that weird?

Wait, nope. There's CGI and a reference to a game that didn't exist yet.

Oh well. Still a scarily accurate rendition of 80's sex videos. Maybe this should be renamed or moved to YF.

Somehow, I doubt Mario and Luigi saying "Safe sex is the best!" in unison with some kid was the image Nintendo would want:)

But man, that puberty is RADICAL!

Sure did look believable until they started using the Boos and the Yoshi eggs, that was a dead giveaway.

Hmmm, the animation isn't really convincing if you know what to look for. Or the voices for that matter...

There's also the fact that Nintendo is very protective of who they lisence their characters to, at least where image is concerned. For example, there's certain limits on how much you can abuse Miis in a game if you want to use them. They'd never OK something like this.

^ That's actually kinda new. They started doing that after the merchandising for Pokemon went out of hand.

Pretty clear from the start that it was faked. They're using poorly rehashed footage from the Mario Bros cartoon (as well as that other one which I can't remember the name of), but the voices are an especially dead giveaway. Not even close.

Sorry, I searched a bit but couldn't find it. I do recall hearing that the absurd amounts of merchandising became problematic for Nintendo The Pokemon Company but I imagine finding such an article would be rather difficult.
