Proposed addition for the Cubone line:

Wouldn't synthetic skulls be about as expensive as the real deal, given the handiwork involved with making such a replica?

I think it would make sense for replica Cubone helmets to be hand-built artifacts crafted by artisans and protected under trade secrets by certain craft guilds.

[up][up][up] There are quite a few TV studios and references across the games. Having an article about stations and programs might be worth doing, at least on the "Human Culture" side of things. There's a lot that could fall under that category: the Goldenrod Radio Tower, the Teachy TV from FR/LG, Pokéstar Studios, etc.

I've added the dibs for Marshadow and Stufful to the dibs page, since there seem to be no objections as of yet. BOOM-Fanfic-a-latta can do Marshadow, and pf9 gets the Stufful line.

In the meantime, I'll start chipping away at some Ultra Beasts myself. Specifically, Buzzwole and Pheromosa. My main roadblocks will be on how I tackle it. How do I explain why Buzzwole and Pheromosa are both classified as UB-02? Do I make a joint article on them both as if the two had some distant relation? Help would be appreciated.

I have now written up a draft for Pheromosa's article. I'd love for any suggestions for improvement.

Pheromosa (dubbed UB-02 Beauty by the Aether Foundation Science Team)

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

  • Pheromosa [#795]

Physical Description

Prior to the Aether Incident, Pheromosa was considered an urban legend.
After the Aether incident, video footage was released of Pheromosa. It has been described as a slender-built, insectoid Pokémon that is primarily white in colour. Varying accounts of its height have been described, but the most consistent and common places it between half an inch and a full inch shy of 6 feet tall, or roughly 180 centimeters. One captive specimen, visually no distinct from other Pheromosa, weighed in at 25 kilograms, this being its supposed maximum weight. Its body area is composed of five, thin, slightly drooping discs. The widest of these discs makes up its shoulders, the second widest makes up its hips, and the two narrowest make up its chest and waist. There is a small gold ring at the base of its long, thin neck. Its arms and legs are also long and thin with gold joints. Its hands and feet are both composed of two golden claws. Pheromosa has a small, semi-flattened head with a yellow structure that somewhat resembles a tiara. The tiara-like structure has five points, with the three middle points being very small compared to the two outer points. Attached to these outer points are two thin antennae that are longer than Pheromosa is tall. These antennae curve outward and droop downwards. A small portion of each antenna's base is transparent, but appears to be invisible to the naked eye without the right lighting conditions, making it appear that the antennae are floating slightly above its head. The tips of the antennae end in yellow, thin, ovoid structures. The back of its head flows into its white, translucent carapace, which resembles a long and flowing feminine hairstyle. While a few Ultra Beasts have been reported lacking facial features, Pheromosa is an exception, as it suppports a rather striking pair of slender eyes with purple scleras, blue pupils, and black eyelashes, in addition to an incredibly small mouth.

Notable Biology

As an Ultra Beast, it is not currently known if it can be classified properly as a Pokémon. However, its biology matches up with Bug-type Pokémon and Fighting-type Pokémon, so it is classified under both.
According to one Wicke **** from the Aether Foundation, Pheromosa's lithe, elegant body is capable of sudden feats of acceleration, able to twitch its limbs at an estimated 120 mph (200 km/h) instantaneously, a speed previously unseen in the world. It also produces a sort of disarming pheromone, described as "previously unknown to science" that causes those nearby to become awestruck by its presence. It displays a considerable reluctance towards touching anything, as if it interprets this world as being unclean somehow.

Sightings and Habitat

Upon investigation during the Aether incident, it was found that the home of Pheromosa appears to be some sort of desert covered in turquoise crystals, with stone monoliths and structures abundant around the landscape, and a few dozen shrubs scattered about. Multiple areas of this description have been explored, with varying layouts. It is not known if this is one area which re-arranges itself every so often, or if these are separate areas. Additionally, whether these areas are part of the same world or are separate worlds is up for dispute, as the "Ultra Desert", as dubbed by scientists, has only ever been reached via Ultra Wormholes. However, most seem to support the former.
Four sightings of Pheromosa in Alola have been confirmed, with the specimens found to be roaming around Melemele Island's Verdant Cavern.

Diet

Pheromosa's diet has not been well observed by humans, but its bodily structure and biology suggest it may not be carnivorous. One captive specimen has been observed enjoying Poké Puffs, but most appear to be very fickle towards food offered by humans.

Hazards

As an Ultra Beast, its temperament in general is poorly understood, aside from its aversion to touching anything. Its lithe build and reported speed make it a very fast and hard-to-hit foe, and it has clocked in as the second-fastest Bug-type known, only beaten out by Ninjask. It appears to lack strong musculature, so sharp, swift kicks are its primary method of attack. However, some specimens have been observed utilising ranged techniques with equal proficiency. It is one of the least durable Bug-types, but in general, engaging it in combat is considered unwise without a Pokémon that can match its speed, or, like the aforementioned Ninjask, outspeed it. Its pheromones are also capable of throwing off the concentration of humans and other Pokémon, so gas masks are recommended for those dealing with Pheromosa.

Courting and Childrearing

Pheromosa's courting behaviours have not undergone proper studies. As mentioned before, it is capable of releasing powerful pheromones, but whether these are related to courtship is not yet known. It has not even been determined if Pheromosa produce offspring in a traditional way, and thus it is classified as genderless.

Social Structure

The Pheromosa observed in Verdant Cavern appeared to mostly stay at opposing corners of the cavern, suggesting that Pheromosa may be a solitary species. This is further supported by findings of one trainer who wishes to remain anonymous. They noted that upon each visit, the small desert-like area had only ever been inhabited by a single Pheromosa, with seemingly no other life-forms to be found.

In Human Culture

While Pheromosa was still an urban legend, it inspired an author to write about a creature whose beauty could control the minds of any people it encountered, and steal away their free will, causing them to do its bidding.

Additional Notes

During the Aether Incident, a task force, split into two, was sent to tackle a case of strange sightings. Two separate accounts of insectoid creatures from beyond this world had been described. One was quite tall, athletic, and primarily black and red, while the other was slender, about the height of an average human female, and primarily white, with some gold spots.
Upon release of the footage, the former was later classified as UB-02 Absorption, with the common name of "Buzzwole", and the latter became known as "Pheromosa," designated UB-02 Beauty. This case was the second case and involved both Buzzwole and Pheromosa, which is the reason that both are numbered as UB-02.
As reported by one trainer who owns a Pheromosa, once a captive Pheromosa gets over its aversion to touching things, their trainer may pet it, provided that they are sufficiently clean and hygienic. However, due to their frail bodily structure, the trainer is advised to be gentle. It has shown preference for the top of its head being touched, but has disliked the antennae being touched. Captive specimens may also eventually be able to be trained out of the pheromone-releasing behaviour, but this has not been observed under controlled conditions.

And Buzzwole joins its fellow Bug/Fighting Ultra Beast in the draft article boat. Once again, suggestions are praised and appreciated!

Buzzwole (dubbed UB-02 Absorption by the Aether Foundation Science Team)

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

  • Buzzwole [#794]

Physical Description

Prior to the Aether Incident, Buzzwole was considered an urban legend.

After the Aether incident, video footage was released of Buzzwole. It has been described as a tall, muscular, insectoid Pokémon that is primarily red and black in colour. Varying accounts of its height and weight have been described, although one captive specimen was measured and weighed. It was around 240 centimeters tall and weighed nearly 334 kilograms. If the measurements are accurate and Buzzwole is counted as a Pokémon, this puts Buzzwole as the heaviest Bug-type, plus the tallest and heaviest Fighting-type currently known. What appear to be bulging muscles covering its body are actually sacs with red fluid inside. There are three on each arm, two on each of its four pointed legs, two on its chest area, and a few on its abdominal area and shoulders. There are also some unusual grayish lines on some of these sacs which resemble tendons. Its head is a small, flat dome comprised of two large, red compound eyes separated by a black ridge, which holds two long, straight red and black striped antennae, each on top of a black orb structure, as well as a proboscis. This mouthpart bears some resemblance to a spearhead, and it is long, silver in colour, and extremely sharp. The head ends at a black ring with three spikes around the back, the middle one being slightly longer than the other two. The black colouration also extends to its shoulders and down its chest and abdomen, ending just before the legs. There are also two spikes on each shoulder, one on each forearm, and on on each of the four legs. Dark red colouration makes up its legs and arms, with its arms ending in five-fingered hands with a black colouration resembling fingerless gloves. There are also four bright orange translucent wings on its back which give it the ability to fly.

Notable Biology

As an Ultra Beast, it is not currently known if it can be classified properly as a Pokémon. However, its biology matches up with Bug-type Pokémon and Fighting-type Pokémon, so it is classified under both.

Buzzwole is an incredibly strong beast, according to reports. It has been described as pulverising a dump truck in a single punch. According to one Wicke **** from the Aether Foundation, its most notable feature is its ability to strengthen itself. By stabbing its proboscis into a foe, it absorbs the foe's energy. This in turn triggers a chemical reaction within its body fluids that causes its muscles to grow at explosive rates, further augmenting its already considerable strength. It has been witnessed draining a Snorlax completely dry. Its main form of communication seems to be a series of gestures, with raising its arms to flex them being the most commonly seen. However, it is currently undetermined as to whether this displaying of its athletic limbs is a form of boasting, or a threat. Its language is poorly understood.

Sightings and Habitat

Upon investigation during the Aether incident, it was found that the home of Buzzwole is a large and expansive jungle containing both regular trees as well as several larger trees in the shape of muscular beings flexing their upper torso and arms. Some of these trees were interconnected by large thick vines, which can allow for a visitor to walk across them, according to one anonymous person who explored this area. A winding river appears to weave between the trees, and a large active volcano has been seen, with the trainer reporting that a Buzzwole had emerged from the volcano upon its eruption. This seems to indicate that Buzzwole train themselves in climates of extreme heat. Multiple areas of this description have been explored, with varying layouts. It is not known if these areas are part of the same world or are separate worlds, since the "Ultra Jungle", as dubbed by scientists, has only ever been reached via Ultra Wormholes.

Two known sightings of Buzzwole in Alola were reported and later confirmed, with them being located at the Melemele Island meadow.

Diet

Buzzwole's biology heavily implies that it stabs its prey with its mouthpart and drains the prey of its bodily fluids. What Buzzwole's natural prey may be has not been observed, but it is likely an opportunistic predator, if the above reported Snorlax case is anything to go by. Similarly to Pheromosa, however, one captive specimen seemed to enjoy being given Poké Beans, where it stabbed them with its proboscis and drained all the juice out of them. This is most likely not part of its natural diet, however.

Hazards

As an Ultra Beast, its temperament in general is poorly understood, and as such, care must be taken when dealing with one. As detailed above, its behaviour of flexing is still misunderstood. Flexing in return may be seen as a challenge to Buzzwole, though it may also be a friendly greeting, but a trainer's best bet is to err on the side of caution. Buzzwole's incredible strength and ability to fly mean that if one is angered, escaping it is nigh impossible without an equally strong Pokémon to defend oneself. It has the capability to hold down even a fairly athletic human and drain them dry. As reported by the trainer who explored Buzzwole's natural environment, Buzzwole appears to have very good durability in sharp contrast to the other insectoid Ultra Beast, though allegedly, it has some weakness to ranged techniques. Therefore, it is recommended that a trainer deal with it from a distance.

Courting and Childrearing

Buzzwole, despite its very masculine body structure, has been classified as genderless. It is not known if it can produce offspring in a traditional way.

Social Structure

It is not fully understood how multiple Buzzwole interact with each other, but they are likely competitive in a similar manner to human bodybuilders. They may be naturally solitary as a result, or they may congregate in one spot for body training and only one Buzzwole may leave the area at any one time. In support of this, during the multiple visits to the Ultra Jungle(s), each visit saw only a single Buzzwole make an appearance, and each time, it emerged from the active volcano described as existing in the center of Buzzwole's homeworld.

In Human Culture

While Buzzwole was still an urban legend, it inspired an author to write about a creature who terrified nations by flying across the globe and absorbing the energy of as many people and Pokémon as it could, until it became a hulking behemoth surpassing the power of a Legendary Pokémon.

Additional Notes

During the Aether Incident, a task force, split into two, was sent to tackle two cases of strange sightings. Two separate accounts of insectoid creatures from beyond this world had been described. One was quite tall, athletic, and primarily black and red, while the other was slender, about the height of an average human female, and primarily white, with some gold spots.

Upon release of the footage, the former was later known as "Buzzwole", and designated UB-02 Absorption, and the latter was classified as "Pheromosa," designated UB-02 Beauty. This case was the second case and involved both Buzzwole and Pheromosa, which is the reason that both are numbered as UB-02.

It appears that like Pheromosa, Buzzwole may be tameable to a certain degree. The owner of the measured captive Buzzwole reported that the creature seemed to enjoy being petted, with a preference for the abdomen area, though reacting negatively to its shoulder sacs being touched.

I'm going to claim Shadow Pokemon. I might take Cipher later on, depending on how it goes.

Also, I like BackSet1's idea that information about Shadow Pokemon is limited, maybe by intention. The concept of artificially turning something like a Salamence or a Tyranitar into a totally-uncontrollable, emotionless murder machine feels like something the International Police would want to keep under wraps at all costs.

I am currently in the process of writing an article for both Phione and Manaphy, and I want to add elements relating to their role in Mystery Dungeon, including the part where Manaphy contracts a fever thanks to not being in the ocean for a while, and the Phione dew being a mythical (and supposedly valuable) cure-all.

But that is all I have.

Here is what I have so far.

  • Phione [489]

Physical Description

???

Notable Biology

Similar to Manaphy is the innate ability for Phione to remember its birthplace and travel back to it regardless of how far it has drifted.

Habitat

Phione tend to thrive in warm, tropical seas closer to the Equator, unlike its near relative Manaphy. Frequently, they seek warm currents and drift alongside them. Because of this, their distribution is never localized, contributing to the species' rarity.

Diet

Its soft body and relatively light stature suggests that Phione feed almost exclusively on microorganisms floating along the sea.

Hazards

Since Phione are generally docile, there is generally little hazard from raising one. However, these creatures are easily provoked, though they often decide to flee at the first sign of trouble rather than actually fight. There is a documented instance of a Gyarados attacking a Phione pack allegedly for the Phione dew, but another group of Pokemon managed to ward it off.

It is advised that trainers who are raising young Phione ensure that they have adequate water to ensure they stay damp. Like Manaphy, it can adapt after a while to life outside of water. However, compared to Manaphy, it is considerably more hardy to life outside the ocean.

Courting and Childrearing

Despite the species as a whole being genderless, it is possible for two Phione to mate and produce viable Phione offspring. It is theorized that the species may instead be hermaphroditic. For some reason, breeding Manaphy with Ditto will also produce Phione offspring rather than Manaphy. Some researchers claim that this is instead due to Manaphy being adapted toward colder, more polar seas while Phione prefer tropical environments.

Social Structure

Phione are known to be highly social, though they tend to congregate in small groups rarely number over the single digits.

In Human Society

Among seafaring cultures, Phione is held in high regard as the maker of the cure-all Phione dew. This substance is itself very valuable and is not replicable. It is theorized that the Secret Potion of Cianwood City utilizes a portion of this substance as its active ingredient.

I believe I am using "It is theorized" way too much.

I like it! You could replace one of the instances of "It is theorized" (of which you only have 2) with "Scientists believe" or something similar.

For the physical description, you could basically take it from Bulbapedia:

Phione is a blue Pokémon with a round head and a tiny body. Phione's head is crowned by a flotation sac with a long, ribbon-like antenna. Its mouth is small, and its eyes are large with blue sclera and gray irises. Above its eyes are two blue, circular markings connected to the eyes by a thin black line. Its long, flipper-like arms have rounded tips. Phione has a red, oval gem on its chest and a single rudimentary foot spike.

(Though giving it some wording and flair of your own would be recommended, and perhaps describe what material makes up its body.)

For notable biology, mention its control of not only Water-type techniques, but other typings such as Fairy (Charm/Dazzling Gleam), Bug (U-Turn/Signal Beam), Ice (Hail/Ice Beam/Blizzard/Icy Wind), Grass (Grass Knot), and Poison (Acid Armor/Toxic), along with the myriad of support moves. It might also help you decide the material/chemical composition of its body. Mention also that it seems to have an all-rounder style but be less proficient at it than Manaphy. (A reference to how in the games, Manaphy has 100 in all stats, but Phione has only 80 in each stat.)

How is this? I couldn't explain well how Phione does physical non-water type attacks.

Phione

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

  • Phione [489]

Physical Description

A Pokemon with blue membrane-like skin, a round head and tiny body. On the crown of its head is a floatation sac, from which projects a long, ribbonlike antenna. Its eyes feature blue sclera and gray irises, and noticeably, two blue circular markings connect to it via a thin black line.

Its hands have rounded ends with no fingers or similar appendages extending from them. Its "foot" consists of a singular spike-like projection extending from the body. On its chest is a red gemlike orb structure.

A genetic mutation causes the outer skin to be teal instead of blue, and the orb on its chest to be gold instead of red.

Notable Biology

Most of the following traits are shared with Phione's near relative, Manaphy.

Phione features an innate ability to use its mouth to form structures out of water, most notably bubbles and water vortices. It can either do so upon ingesting a significant quantity of water, or through secretions from glands located near its palate. Its relatively small larynx has the ability to emit high frequency sound waves indiscernable to the human ear. In addition, at will, Phione can also liquify its body, which it commonly does as a defensive response. Usage of this technique has also allowed Phione to escape through drainholes.

The orb on its chest, which is hard on the outside, seems to be some sort of gland which contains an unknown substance. Most trainers were able to teach Phione to formulate this substance at will, and have it expel the result forcefully out of its mouth. Through this, it can produce techniques such as various Ice type moves (e.g. Icy Wind, Blizzard, and especially Ice Beam. This same property also grants it the ability to utilize Signal Beam, which no Phione in the wild can use naturally.

Also similar to Manaphy is the speices' relative indifference in its battle statistics. Perhaps as a side effect to adapting to tropical climates or due to its relative docility, Phione does not seem to be as proficient in battle compared to its polar neighbor.

Phione exhibit a property where they utilize water to cure themselves. Though they cannot heal direct wounds, lacerations, and the like, their bodies actively react upon contact with water to heal Phione of conditions like poison and paralysis. Rainwater is the best catalyst to induce this reaction. All Phione possess this characteristic.

Habitat

Phione tend to thrive in warm, tropical seas closer to the Equator, unlike its near relative Manaphy. Frequently, they seek warm currents and drift alongside them. Because of this, their distribution is never localized, contributing to the species' rarity.

Similar to Manaphy is the innate ability for Phione to remember its birthplace and travel back to it regardless of how far it has drifted.

Some Phione attempt to use their charming appearance to lull in other Pokemon and lower their guard, but most Phione would rarely resort to attacking directly as a first option.

It is advised that trainers who are raising young Phione ensure that they have adequate water to ensure they stay damp. Like Manaphy, it can adapt after a while to life outside of water. However, compared to Manaphy, it is considerably hardier to life outside the ocean. This is again theorized by the species being better adapted to warmer climates than its relative.

Courting and Childrearing

The species as a whole is genderless. Breeding between two Phione has not been observed in the wild, and the only documented instances of Phione reproduction in captivity were achieved by breeding a Phione with Ditto. Some researchers theorize that Phione may instead be hermaphroditic and able to freely shift between the two genders in the wild. For some reason, breeding Manaphy with Ditto will also produce Phione offspring rather than Manaphy. Some researchers claim that this is instead due to Manaphy being adapted toward colder, more polar seas while Phione prefer tropical environments.

Social Structure

Phione are known to be highly social, though they tend to congregate in small groups rarely numbering over the single digits. The average size of a Phione pack is between three to six, with rare instances of nine members in a pack.

In Human Society

Among seafaring cultures, Phione is held in high regard. Most notably, given its rarity, many legends state that anyone who spots a Phione in the wild would receive good fortune. Other legends place Phione as the maker of the Phione dew, a very valuable and not replicable substance which is said to cure any medical ailment of any lifeform it is administered to. Some theorists believe that the SecretPotion of Cianwood City (the formula of which is a heavily guarded trade secret) utilizes a portion of this substance as its active ingredient.

I got some work done Manaphy as well shortly after. I think I may actually submit these entries as they are written in the forum as the final draft.

(n.b.: the connections to Almia were done with no background information about the region in canon. I have never played Pokemon Ranger, but I did see the movie and integrated a bunch of plot details from that)

Manaphy

Morphs [Oak Catalog #]

  • Manaphy [490]

Physical Description

A Pokemon with a similar appearance to Phione, in that it has blue skin, and has a large head and a tiny body with two fingerless hands with rounded ends. Unlike Phione, the floatation sac and accompanying ribbon antenna on its crown is absent, and is instead replaced by two long tendrils with small spheres on the end. Instead of the singular blue circular markings which extend from both of Phione's eyes, Manaphy has four yellow markings, two of which extend from each eye.

Instead of Phione's rudimentary foot, Manaphy has two more developed and distinct feet. These are toeless like its hands.

It has a similar red orb on its chest like Phione. It also can possess the same genetic mutation that gives Phione teal skin.

Notable Biology

Most of the following traits are shared with Manaphy's near relative, Phione.

Manaphy features much of the same internal structure as Phione, being able to morph water into structures that possess destructive power. It can spit bubbles instinctively from birth, but can eventually gain the ability to form water vortices from its breath.

Due to its similarity to Phione, in captivity Manaphy can be taught utilize various Ice techniques like Blizzard, Ice Beam, and Icy Wind. Also thanks to its similarity to Phione, it can utilize the Bug type technique Signal Beam.

A unique ability among Manaphy is a technique dubbed "Heart Swap." There are accounts through myth where Manaphy can swap the bodies of individuals near its presence for a temporary period of time. In battle, this translates to swapping the effects of stat changes.

Like Phione, Manaphy exhibit a property where they utilize water to cure themselves. The limitations that affect Phione also impact Manaphy to the same degree. This physical property is the direct result of its dependence on water for it to properly grow. All known Manaphy possess this characteristic.

Habitat

Based on where Manaphy eggs were discovered, Manaphy grow up in cold seas close to the poles. They spend a considerable amount of time in these polar seas before being carried away by the currents.

A mature Manaphy, after spending several years in the open ocean, will eventually migrate back to its birthplace.

Diet

Feeds almost exclusively on microorganisms in the sea.

Hazards

Manaphy are docile creatures and will not readily attack humans if provoked. However, because of its strong relationship with the Pokemon roaming the seas of its homeland, these guardian Pokemon will attack any passers by on the first sign of distress.

For trainers who manage to obtain a Manaphy, caring for it is no easy task. It needs a steady supply of cold water to match the habitat of its birthplace, and is relatively unable to adapt to any other environment at a very young age. Due to this Pokemon's volatile nature, any Manaphy that does not reside in its rightful environment will most likely contract a severe illness related to it not being in the polar sea. There are few solutions to curing this illness. One of these is the mythical Phione dew.

Unlike other Pokemon, trainers should be careful while handling Manaphy in its egg. Even in this stage, Manaphy's abilities, though latent, can activate on instinct. It can use its mythical Heart Swap power in this stage and even communicate to anyone who happens to be holding it via telepathy.

Courting and Childrearing

Other than what is known about documented instances of Manaphy eggs, nothing is known about this Pokemon's reproduction. Every Manaphy egg documented was found alone with Pokemon of other species surrounding it.

Attempts to breed and hatch Manaphy in captivity have ended in failure. Breeding Manaphy with Ditto will result in producing Phione, a near relative to Manaphy in taxology.

Social Structure

No known instances of this Pokemon have been observed with others of its kind. Many people believe that the Pokemon is instead one of a kind. Despite this, Manaphy is known to be extremely social and maintains amicable relationships with the Pokemon of its homeland. In fact, given that Manaphy are seldom observed with any biological relatives, a good portion of these Pokemon act as a quasi-parental figure to Manaphy. Manaphy have been known to be raised among Pokemon like Walrein thanks to their hardiness to cold weather.

In Human Society

Manaphy are considered critically endangered due to its rarity and the inability to breed it in captivity. Many poacher groups have attempted to capture any instance of this Pokemon even while it is in its Egg. Only a handful of Trainers have legally obtained a Manaphy to train.

"The Guardian of the Sea," "The Prince of the Sea," and "The Wandering Caretaker" are among many names which sea-bound cultures give this Pokemon. Ancient records indicate that the present term "Manaphy" is an English transliteration of a term for a vagabond in the language of an extinct culture that used to live on Sinnoh long before colonists from Kanto and Johto arrived on its lands.

The last bastion of this culture currently resides in Almia, located on the southwest of the same island where Sinnoh is located. This land has historically been part of their distribution before colonization. This culture, known as "the People of the Water," holds firm to a tradition where one of its able-bodied members maintains a solemn nightly vigil over the waters where Manaphy resides. Newly appointed Watchers, as they are called, are obliged to fulfill this duty on the nightfall that directly follows their appointment. A submerged temple provides the direction where these vigilantes face throughout the night.

The modern day song "A Thing to Protect," itself about Manaphy, was based upon a traditional melody sung by the People of the Water. Common lyrical settings of this tune included a lullaby and a parting tune, the latter of which provided the basis for the modern tune.

I like it. My main problem is that the term "stat changes" feels too game-y and could perhaps be translated to different terms, like "their morale boosts" or something. (I struggle to come up with alternatives, sometimes.)

In related news, I published the full Buzzwole and Pheromosa pages and have linked them thusly.

Is there a formal procedure regarding upvoting entries like the Trope Pantheon forum has? I can make more edits shortly before I get on with actually making the page.

If there is, how many upvotes are necessary before we create the page?

(Here is a link to my Sandbox page, which is where I house my Dex rough drafts alongside my Trope Pantheon entries)
