But if you think about Lucy's accomplishments, she really is awesome. For example, there are 12 major Stellar Spirits, and each of them only has 1 key in the world. Lucy has nine of the twelve. She has 3/4s of all the major Stellar Spirits in the entire world.

Also, Lucy herself doesn't have the kind of self-confidence associated with high-level fighters, nor does she have the magic power or technique to use her (admittedly impressive) collection of spirits to their full potential.

Also, it turns out Gemini has some limitations. That's good, because otherwise, they could have turned out to be story-breakingly powerful.

New chapter and it's uh.... interesting.

The Exceed, who really are talking cats, are really in charge of all of Edoras, and it seems as far as they're consider they're also in charge of Earth.
At the least their queen has declared herself a God who's responsible for killing human in either world when the Exceed feels they're in excess. Then they decided the Dragon Slayers would be more valuable for their magic.
So Happy, Charle, and 98 other cat eggs were sent as Manchurian Agents who mission was change from "kill the Dragon Slayers" to "capture the Dragon Slayers" and they've spent their whole lives being guided by the Exceed into this. Gajeel's quest for a cat of his own isn't seeming so funny anymore, considering that he's seeking out his own assassin without either one knowing.

Am I the only one who finds that both alienating and depressing?

Looks like it's going to be Happy and Charlie to the rescue. And we got to meet Happy's parents. That's actually rather awesome.

This is probably history's greatest story arc where the Team Pet is the hero.

I knew one of them was that couple's kid, soon as she brought up her child being taken from her. That was such a nice chapter.

I'm willing to bet that Mistgun is behind this most recent development. The biggest question, in my mind, is why Gray is able to use his magic.

And I actualy like the king's plan. It definately has a Refuge in Audacity feel to it and makes a perverce sort of sence.

Griff has gotten a few cameos on covers and such, but it would be nice if he showed up in the main storyline, yeah. I loved that little guy.

And I wouldn't say the pills are an asspull. We know that magic and be stored in objects, so it's not much of a stretch to say it can be stored in something digestible.

Also, now we know where's Gazille's been, and got a bit of an explanation for why Mistgun hasn't been helping. Though I still think the guy should just show up and help them already.

Well, the Ten Commandments is a lance this time, not a sword, so I think the name and powers form more of an amusing Mythology Gag than anything else.

Mystogan's the resident enigmatic. He's gotta' be mysterious...

Also? Raining down magic on the world is very, very, very, very, bad.

Anyone else wondering generally what's with Pantherlily? Why does he look like no other Exceed (but probably still is one, given he has wings) and why is he fine with working against them?
