I know we already inferred this, but I still appriciate JJ clarifying there's no such thing as a cure all.

Yeah it comes off less like Hannelore “cured” her OCD and more like she found a mindset that helps her manage it. Like an alternative therapy.

To me it looks like most of her breakthrough was about her germophobia while her other obsessions would only improve marginally.

New page, and a new artstyle.

Eh, I'm not huge on the artstyle change, for some reason it reminds me of anime but not in a good way. However, a while ago Jeph posted a snippet of one of the upcoming pages and it looked like the previous artstyle, so hopefully the change is only temporary, like the brief period when everyone had freakishly noticeable lips.

I’m really not sure how I feel about the new style. It’s very sudden, which is jarring, but I don’t know if I actually dislike it or not. It’ll probably take some getting used to at least.

I kinda like the new style. One thing I noticed today that I hadn't previously is that Hanners has either ditched her earrings or swapped them out for studs...leaning toward the former.

Hmm, I like the artwork, it reminds me of some previous periods in QC history. Can't pin one down, though.

When Hanners visited Station, she seems to have consented to the intracranial communications unit.

The ICU? Oh my god.

I feel like the art style is a bit of a throwback. I like it, but it could definitely overstay its welcome.

I thought it was like "Wow, Marten, Claire and Hanners all in the same room! It's been a while since this happened, let's do a comic in the style of 2012 when Claire was introduced!+ Throwback!"

Well, there are already services for renting friends...

Here's the site for Rent-A-Friend for example.

While there already is a Rent-A-Parent site, that's actually about hiring nannies.

But yeah, I could see a market for young adults starved of parental guidance renting older people to be their pretend moms and dads.

Heck, a few years back someone actually did try to act as a "rental" mom.

Reminds me of a character from Va 11 Hall A, where he hired a prostitute android to basically just pretend to be his daughter who had died.

Back in the 80s and 80s, Opus the Penguin was running up credit cards calling 900 numbers to talk to a mother.

Haven’t had some good Marten-and-Claire interaction in a while.

Incidentally, Jeph, if you go back and fix Marten’s shirt, you might take a look at the bridge of Claire’s glasses, too.

Just have to be careful how you market it. "Rent-a-Daddy" could go horribly wrong (Or right, depending on your point of view).

God, I love seeing these two interact. They’re such a solid couple, and I hope this stuff with Claire’s dad leads to a good arc.
