I'm not certain what Florence is supposed to be doing with her tongue in the last panel... is that just a surprise pose?

Teeth and claws are not things one typically "declares" as weapons, although Florence might be a special case...

She's holding her neck. I think she got hugged a little too hard around the throat. He at least got it around the ribs.

No, part of why he does it is also "famed captain" status. You don't get that from sleeping through everything captainy.

There's this other webcomic, called "Erfworld", which features a villan called "Charlie", who runs a kind of mercenary outfit, who specializes in setting up contracts like this.

I'm starting to think that Sam's greatest skill is tricking people into playing by his rules.
