What could they even do for a Kefka costume at this point? I rather think they've exhausted all his Amano Alternate Art™ at this point.
I have a message from another time...The Joker.
It's the only way to go.
OK, how the heck do I get another Lucky Charm? I used the one I got to make a Hero's Spirit, not knowing that it'd be freaking impossible to find another one. I apparently have all the items needed, so what the hell?
I have a message from another time...EX force absorption accessories can only affect Gabranth's EX charge negatively. In other words, using stuff with EX penalties will slow down his EX charge, but using stuff with EX bonuses will NOT speed up EX charge.
The cow eats Fruit Loops at midnight. In other words, best to just boost his duration and give him a Mystic Guard?
I have a message from another time...Welp. The Mured Moogle just dropped some weapons-grade Wham. Cosmos and her chosen all died in the 13th cycle? An 18th cycle? If I hadn't already been spoiled as to what's going on, I'd be freaking out.
I have a message from another time...It's more complicated than that. You'll find out.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987Welp, I made it to Feral Chaos.
Is it wrong that I gave everyone EXP to HP and chose characters based on their ability to nigh-unpunishably chip off his HP? Right now I'm still on Bartz, and I'm hanging out on the cieling, raining Holy/Flare on him. Then I've got Kain and Gilgamesh with Jump, Kefka with WW Firaga and Forsaken Null and Trine, and my final line of defense is Golbez with Melee-Range Nightglow.
Aaaaaand I accidentally just hit "Retry" instead of "continue to next battle". Now I need to repeat that feat of cheesing that Bartz just spent about 15 minutes on.
edit: Man, I need to think about making an EX Revenge build for Bartz. He ain't too shabby with it.
wait. Is Feral Chaos... he actually seems easier than the Elite Manikins. I can actually deal bravery damage to him. Breaks are actually a possibility!

I have a message from another time...Oh man, I hit the Retry button on accident so many times when I wanted to continue...that was probably the worst part of facing Feral Chaos.
Welcome to th:|Mwahaha! Eat Holy! I bet you wish you still had Condemn, eh?
edit: Oh, well, Via Dolorosa works too.
Still! How's it feel to lose half your life to my first guy?

I have a message from another time...I'm probably the only person in the world who found Shantotto harder to use in Duodecim. She's clearly buffed (Except with her EX Mode, which would have been great in this game), and yet she's practically unplayable compared to the first Dissidia. I'm still tying to figure out what the hell's going on.
I've also noticed that.
I used to be an avid Gabranth player in Dissidia, but now that EX Mode is nerfed as far as duration, I look at him as being pretty much worthless in 012. At least with the build I was using.
月を見るたび思い出せThat makes me sad. Gabranth needs more love. =[
I'll admit though. Transitioning from the Dissidia to Duodecim, it did take a bit of time getting used to Gabranth now that a sustained EX build seems pretty much impossible. It does seem pretty fair though, considering he's supposed to be a beast in EX mode and vulnerable outside of it, but opponents would never see that point of weakness if he's forever stuck in beast mode.
Considering a sustained EX build is no longer an option, I fitted him with a regen-focused build instead, so he can recover any damage he took with the helm off while he's in the process of eating peoples' faces. Not sure how good a regen build is in the grand scope of things, but hey. It works for me. That, and Aerith. She is Gabranth's friend, and he never leaves home without 'er. =]
Well, EXP to EX Force is almost certainly useless on him now, but EXP to HP might be useful. Get in some stuff to induce, say, Assist Iai Strike and prevent EX break... get some duration- and intake range-enhancing accessories...
He's definitely not as good as he was in Dissidia, but... eh, higher learning curve now, I suppose.
I miss my sustained EX build Cloud from Dissidia, since his EX Mode is pretty insane (unblockable, HP-attack-priority brave attacks? Holy shit.), but the broken 012 Iai Strike build is pretty great for him, just because of his chained BRV->HP attacks. I think the setup I have for him has wall rush attacks deal twice as much damage, makes short work of Feral Chaos.
月を見るたび思い出せTwo builds I miss from the first game was a wall rush build for my Firion and a Force to Courage build for my Sephiroth. With lowered wall rush damage and some of the boosters having their numbers changed, Firion's damage just isn't what it used to be. Then again, his wall rush damage was like, 4x or 5x that of his HP attacks, so the nerf's justified. Nowadays, I focus on EX mode for him, since blood weapon healing is awesome.
Force to Courage seemed to get caught in the general EX nerf. In the first game, with a good Force to Courage build, it would be raining so much brave into you, it's ridiculous. You'd be getting so much brave, it'd be near impossible to break you without summon assistance. Now? What used to be a tsunami of bravery has been reduced to a mere sprinkler system. It hardly seems worth the effort. Not to mention, a dedicated Force to Courage build in Duodecim would weaken your assist and give you NO EX gauge to work with, so I don't see the point of it anymore.
Also, chase was beautiful for both builds. I don't think this needs to be explained.
-SIGH-
I think Feral Chaos is actually easier than Chaos, even though he has way more HP.
Chaos just seems to have far more cheapass attacks.
Also, I hate Shantotto's assist poison.
If people learned from their mistakes, there wouldn't be this thing called bad habits.Know what was fun? A force to courage build for Gabranth. THAT was entertaining.
:smug:Until you decide you actually want to hurt something.
In other news, in the 3rd round of battle, thanks to a well-timed Havoc Wing, Feral Chaos is down! Confessions of the Creator is completed! Interesting final Report has been viewed! Shinryu is a dick!
And with the completion of all of this I have 2 WM Gs and a desire:
In Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, The Creator summoned the monsters from previous games to his world in a manner and method similar to how Cosmos and Chaos summoned their warriors. Except, like, backwards.*
Neo Shinryu and Shinryu Verus are the same thing.
And now I really want to make a fanfic where Marche is summoned to the conflict. I was envisioning him trying to end the cycle entirely by challenging Shinryu (paralleling him getting his world unwarped by taking out the Totema), and info on Shinryu's capabilities from 000 would make it more interesting. It'd have kind of a Downer Ending, of course.
I have a message from another time...And you know who would make for a good rivalry with Marche? Xande. I mean, he's pretty much found a way to become immortal, I imagine he'd hope to perpetuate the cycle at all costs. Plus he could have interesting parallels with both Ultimecia and Kuja.
I hope Nomura's bluffing and there does turn out to be another Dissidia, if not as a fighting game, then in some other form...

Welcome to th:|Dissidia Racing!
Dissidia Monopoly!
Dissidia Party Cruise!
All the Ewoks will look up and shout, "Save us from the Klingons!" And I'll whisper, "Why so serious?"I think It would be pretty cool if the next Dissidia was an SRPG, kind of like Super Robot Wars
GOH! JII! RAH!Shut up and take all my money!
Well I was going to somehow write the Li-Grim into the story, but Xande sounds even better.
I have a message from another time...Dissidia Party! Now with 60% more Chance Time.

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.
I still want manikin Golbez and his unfairly awesome fluttery white cape. And once I get access to PSN, I'm gonna be ALL OVER Heaven Emperor. Just like Zell in a hot dog store. Or Quina in a swamp full of frogs. Or someone else I can't think of at the moment in a place that harbors what they obsess over.
