Zero in clothes looks a lot better than I thought it would be.
Also he’s rocking that look better than his dad.
Just want to say RICO is the most annoying support ever.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersIf this game manages to survive to use ZX characters, i wonder what Aile would look like in the X style.
Seeing Vile with a beam saber and X buster is hilarious.

SoundCloudI myself am wondering what Ashe would look like in the X style.
Speaking of Mega Man X DiVE, I got an email with my code to unlock Alia for pre-registering the game a while back. I live in the US, so I guess I'm going to have to wait until the game comes to the North American iOS App Store to actually use the code?
I've blazed through both Megaman 9 and 10 now since spending most of my non-working hours at home lately. So as I mentioned before the retraux nature of them do nothing for me but otherwise they were pretty competently made though to me it felt like the difficulty varied a lot. Some areas and bosses I breezed though like Splashwoman, Sheepman, and Concreteman while others just took me forever to beat (Nitroman w/o weakness, Pumpman, the Hanabiran mini-boss). Then there were the sections that looked really tough but I was able to complete in one go, sometimes to my surprise. That was probably just me though. I struggled a lot with 9's Wily Machine and Capsule, but that was due to poor resource management on my part forcing me to git gud. 10's was a breeze in comparison. I've completed a few of 10's stages as Protoman but I'm not in a hurry to do another playthrough so soon. Bass looks like he'll be easy mode at least as far as mini-bosses are concerned.
Oh, one thing I have to say about 10 in particular is that its tendency to have enemies come flying up from bottomless pits just as you're jumping over them can go die in a fire. I hated, hated, hated Commandoman's stage thanks to that.

Megaman 9 was one of the, if not THE, game that kicked off the 8-bit retro wave in games. At the time, it was legitimately bold and exciting.
The thing is, with the context of mega man games that came out shortly after all being cancelled, and those kind of retro throwback games becoming more popular, 10 didn't seem like it was doing anything particularly exciting and if anything came across as Capcom not wanting to spend more time and money to make a more impressive game, or at least that was my take.
That's part of why 11's initial reveal was so well-received, it was actually a modern game with appropriate production values.

Yeah I remember 10 getting a lot of undeserved hate for that reason.
It's more that 9 got undeserved love if you ask me.
Where there's life, there's hope. Not that 10 didn't have its fair share of cheapness, but 9 felt a little bit more Platform Hell that its successor.
Yeah 10 definitely feels like a bit like 6 in that both are perfectly fine games with solid mechanics, but just didn't do enough differently for audiences that were keen on the franchise evolving at that point.
Hey guys did you know the ORIGINAL Mega Man was supposed to be in X Command Mission?
This is sort of why Cut Man is in X8.
Here is proof:

The Protomen enhanced my life.Originally Command Mission was supposed to be a crossover with Classic and X but that didn't pan out for whatever reason. Rumors state Inafune didn't want Classic and X to cross over because they were too different in tone.
But unlike last time, this time i have physical proof of Classic Mega in X style.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.I agree, though. They dont mix well. Super intense Cut Man there completely lacks the charm of the original.
That's also probably why the references to the Classic series are kinda limited in X outside of Dr. Light and Wily in X4.
In retrospect maybe it wasn't a great idea to tie the two together in the first place?
The time gap is enough, I think. But really, if you dont want to consider them connected, you dont have to. Just treat it like Final Fantasy where they reuse character names and archetypes for easy recognition.
Personally i'm in the camp that says Classic and X being connected is fine. Mega Man is the story of generations, like the final issue of the comic illustrates this.
I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult. Is weird because X and Zero are feel like a savior and destructor of the world and it dosent tie back of how silly the classic era is.

Even so the irony is still amusing.
Hey, do you think he would be named Nicholas Light if the games were made today?
