https://twitter.com/Bras_Plus/status/1047722776214220801 mega man zero artist made an anniversary pic
Classic Zero looks weird with his art style.
Where there's life, there's hope.It's because MMZ's art style is so "kiddie-looking".
This is why I love Mega Man X8's art, and I hate Mega Man Zero 's art.
Growing up, it's like a civil war, don't turn away, it's something you can't ignore...I am pretty sure this is the first time I have seen someone call the art in the Zero games "Kiddie". (Which to be honest is not a word I would use to describe it.)

"Death's vastness holds no peace. I come at the end of the long road—neither human, nor devil... All bends to my will." -Demifiend.I'm sorry what?
How is it kiddy?
Big heads and big eyes.
Where there's life, there's hope.that's the same thing with classic mega man. quite honestly very few people do a good critique on art styles like this.
I hate X8's artstyle. It looks like it was made for some Americanized toy brand.
Btw, I kind of wish they used that picture of Zero for Omega Zero's design instead of making him a simple Palette Swap.

No one better be talkin' smack about the Zero series's art direction on my watch. Its got a lot of the best boss and scenery designs in the whole franchise.
The art design for the Zero series is by far my favorite for the whole franchise.
what did you like about it over the other styles?
It's hard to put into words, really. Its a very smooth style? Humanoid and inhuman characters feel cohesive while still allowing for a vast array of character designs? None of this really encapsulates my thoughts on it.
Looking at it gives me that tingly feeling in the back of my brain that says "yes, you like this". Can I just say it fits my aesthetic?
i just hate that zero and the guardians have the same armor designs.
i love the zero artstyle but they did not ease people into them, especially in regards to zero
It makes sense in-universe. They're all based on X's design. Even Zero to a certain degree.

yeah but it looks as though they should be on the same team despite the fact they arent. too power rangers less mega man in their theming. i do like how most of the guardians helmets are just x;s
I like how stark the lighting and how grungy it all looks, with the thinner, more angular designs. It looks enough like the X series while finding a balance between the SNES sprites and the more detailed look of the PS games.
I'd say it's also my favorite art style, it's a middle ground between familiar and distinct.
In general I prefer the more angular anime aesthetic of characters than the cubic look of the Classic series. I'm so glad 11 did its own thing.
I think that’s exactly it. They should be on the same team
That they’re not shows how screwy this bad future is.
And also they’re on Zero’s side in number three but then they diiiiiiiiiiiiied

Forever liveblogging the AvengersZX is even better. More colorful and lush designs, also less sketchy (as much as I love Toru Nakayama, I say I love Makoto Yabe more)
We can never truly eradicate the coronavirus, but we can suppress its threat like influenzaand a generic anime plot even blander than the worst of battle network, cant forget that
Zer's art style works due to the smaller dimensions of the Z-series screens, which is why the robots are "fun sized" and less chunky than the classic and X series. It actually has some of the best art design in the series IMO. X Zero's bulb boobs will forever remain awkward. He looks cool otherwise.
However I don't like Zero's neautral pose in the Z series during gameplay. It's not a very pleasing sprite and looks awkward. His animations make up for it at least.
I will say, as far as mook enemies go, the classic series has the rest beat. The mooks in the X series and beyond(save for battle network which are more based off the classic series anyway) are insultingly bland in comparison.

oh yeah the pantheons and everything else are pretty bad in the z series.
They work really well in the first Zero game as this twisted mass produced version of the previous protagonist/Zero’s friend
Forever liveblogging the AvengersPandora's pretty cool though.
I'm amused by their name for Tundra Man.
