Yes.
And thing is, everyone's opinionated. I don't know who you'd consider to be a less opinionated source, but I'm sure you'd find an example of it that's more opinionated than a given example of a Youtuber, and vice versa. The videos I linked do their best to give an informative and factual account of the how and whys of the subject and do their best to declare any bias beforehand.
I've already broadly summarised the answer to your question though, those videos are just for if you wanted more detail. Capcom wanted God of War and COD numbers. Inafune, who was a Senior Corporate Officer between 2006 and 2010, was very pessimistic about the Japanese games industry, and wanted their games to take more cues from Western titles, including bringing on Western devs to make some of their games. Several Japanese publishers did this during this period, but Inafune in particular came over as being pro-Western, claiming that Japanese games were at least five years behind. This meant that several Capcom reboots and sequels were outsourced to Western devs during that period, and he got the ball rolling for several projects that would eventually come out after he had left. The vast majority of those titles went on to be commercial and critical disappointments, though Dead Rising 2 was an exception on both counts, and DmC: Devil May Cry was at least well-reviewed, but sold poorly.

"...in the end the Shadow was only a small and passing thing: there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach."Y'know, for all the mockery DMC 2 rightly gets, it had some redeeming qualities.
Maybe it's because my taste in music is shit, but I did like a few of the soundtracks in that game.
Faithful Servant:
Bust the Beast:
Cursed Giant:
And while the actual boss fight was a letdown, the introduction to Nefasturris was awesome.
Dm C: Devil May Cry literally means Devil May Cry: Devil May Cry.
Jeeez what moron came up with that?
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."DC Comics probably
Uni catLet me input my PIN number into this ATM machine.
Also, another issue with Dm C, for me, was the way you were in control of grappling to an enemy, or pulling them in, instead of it being enemy-dependent like the Devil Bringer or Breaker. This meant that any enemy you could get airborne, and there were a lot of them, could be made trivial by using them to get high out of enemy range and wailing on the enemy until it was dead...then drag another into the sky. I remember early previews implying this would be difficult to pull off, that getting higher would require a difficult-to-time move, but the reality is most of your move set could already knock enemies upward.
I guess ? Why would you do it, though ? I'm pretty sure that's not a ton of fun to do, the game isn't hard enough to warrant pulling cheese strats on anything less than SSS dante must die, and the modes where it would help the most (heaven and hell and hell or hell) gives you infinite devil trigger anyway if you just wanna go through those modes.
That's a bit of a niche downside for how many times cooler they are than the devil bringer grapple.

"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."So I understand most of the sobriquets used in this game but why was Vergil called The Alpha and The Omega?
Edited by windleopard on Mar 18th 2019 at 2:37:44 AM
Because he is both V and Urizen, the beginning and end of the tale so to speak.
He's also chronologically the first and last Final Boss of the series.
Although given how well received 5 was, I'm not sure it will be the Series Finale.
How should a new Nero's co-protagonist be?
Wake me up at your own risk.Patty as a witch.
Secret SignaturePatty does have the lore background for taking over V's playstyle in the future and she would make a really good comedic foil to pretty much every character too.
Someone a bit Van Hellsing-esque would be cool too.

Hey yeah bring in a human hunter who can use Devil Arms through a device empower by demon energy or some shit like that.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I would like to see more human Devil Hunters in general, just because they are supposed to exist in fairly decent numbers.
Plus maybe expand the setting to stuff beyond just Sparda.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."It's a game about the twins of Adraps, who are two highly successful black-haired women that have lived happily with the initially-much-more-evil Adraps who reformed after he fell in love with a woman after an accidental pregnancy that didn't really work out because she wasn't really into the marriage thing like him. A stranger's proposal to help them meet their mother again brings the pair to uncharacteristically adventure to the meeting place to see her, but it's (demonically, duh) not as it seems.
...I kinda actually want this now. No, it's only partially for the naturally-totally-hot brunette twins.
And then they find out that their mother was actually Sparda's long lost sister. Even better, she's already dead and is in fact one of the Devil Arms they find on their journey.

Disgusted, but not surprisedCapcom you can have this all for free we promise you we're all too poor to even consider lawsuits over it
The game then ends with the sisters meeting their new family in the form of their cousins (Dante and Vergil) and nephew (Nero). The reunion of course is interrupted by demons out of nowhere, prompting the entire extended family to beat them down during the credits.
The Stinger will then be Kyrie telling Nero that she's pregnant.

Disgusted, but not surprisedQuestion- how would the DMC characters feel about Alucard of Hellsing?
Did you just answer my question?
Because I'm pretty reluctant to watch youtubers. They tend to be very opinionated.
I hate all of you
