I'd enjoy these story strips more if we ever got more than the first like, two strips of whatever cool storyline they came up with.
I'm still waiting on a continuation of the story about the crashed colony ship, the malfunctioning mother AI, and the immortal she sent to collect everyone.
Gabe and Tycho are infamous for hating "continuity" and avoiding recurring storylines at all cost. We'll see if they overcome that phobia any time soon.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Yeah, they're more like vignettes than anything else, really.
Optimism is a duty.Gag-a-day or week, as usual?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I understand that this comic isn't normally about storylines. That's fine, no trouble. But then they release these awesome teasers like Sand or Automata, and then they go nowhere. They feel different from vignettes; they feel like teasers for future content (maybe even some sort of premium thing?), but then nothing happens with them. It's very odd.
Well, like Fighteer said, the creators seem to hate doing sustained stories with strong continuity. They'll have the occasional story idea, but they are not interested in developing them into full stories beyond that.
Optimism is a duty.I think they both wrote a book or two, or worked on big RPG projects. They just don't like bringing that into Penny Arcade.
They presumably do not think the comic is the best medium for the big stories in their heads.
Disgusted, but not surprisedThey also did a four part game series.
Yeah, scamming scammers is a dangerous game to play. Not to mention that I'm pretty sure that's illegal. Just because you steal from criminals does not make it any less of a crime to steal.
Optimism is a duty. There are YouTube channels devoted to fighting back against scammers. Those people are experts, however. This is definitely a "don't try this at home" scenario.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Ignore what?
Optimism is a duty.I feel compelled to bring up today's comic because it exactly mirrors my own thoughts when seeing Hail Mary in the store yesterday. "Wait, that plot sounds exactly like The Martian!" Gabe and Tycho take it a step further by connecting Matt Damon to Jason Bourne and OMG it's all coming together.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Another writer who only has one story to tell, apparently.
Optimism is a duty.So what's the story with these Martian mushrooms?
Optimism is a duty.Pretty much exactly what Gabe said. They found some interesting mineral formations on Mars that, when viewed on black-and-white pictures from above, are vaguely shaped like mushrooms. For a hot minute, people went ape over the photos, and were then highly disappointed.
.....was it really too hard to add rainbow colored gear to the game and say "you can get this stuff if you do things in game using Poison Ivy"?
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Yes, yes it was. Apparently.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Here's the instigating event:
Injustice 2 Mobile dev apologises for "tone deaf" Pride event: "Insensitive and inappropriate."
Yeah, they really didn't think this event through, at all.
Optimism is a duty.Apparently Penny arcade still has comment section for their comics,I never noticed that before
New theme music also a boxAnybody remember Facebook Gaming? I have the app on my PC still. For some reason.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"
Not quite, our pancakes use thinner batter and are more like thick crepes than American pancakes.
