I think this is it. Whitebeard dies, Ace takes over the Whitebeard Pirates, Wham Episode with time-skip to the new status quo.

So much testosterone,I think my beard just grew another beard.

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.

So, why didn't Sengoku just kill Ace himself? Or knock Luffy off the platform?

Also, seems like WB's going to get his ass beat.

I think the real reason Whitebeard ordered everyone away is that he's about to use an attack that will blow up everything in the vicinity. Bye bye, Marine Headquarters.

I've been wondering that for most of this arc. Maybe Sengoku is just a stickler for ceremony.

I draw this comic-like thing sometimes.

More a Slave to PR, I think. They wanted to cut the feed before executing Ace early - Sengoku wants the world to "know" that things went the Marines' way, and it might have hurt his reputation somehow to take the kill.

So as per the spoiler guidelines I'd posted earlier, I don't think we need to use spoiler tags anymore (someone posted the link over 5 tabs ago).

I can't say I'm heavily surprised, and think most of you would agree. Still, it was an AWESOME chapter. I knew Squad would show up again.

So I think we can agree that Whitebeard is going to try to launch them all out, kill some marines, and die in (relative) peace, but what happens next? I believe in the time-skip hypothesis too, but possible outcomes:

• WB pirates
  • Ace takes over
  • Marco takes over
  • Marco and Jozu split the crew in half
  • They'll probably reveal that a lot of the commanders who weren't named are in bad shape
• Jozu's probably going to remain with one arm
• 3 great Power balance stays about put, due to heavy marine casualties and Shichibukai losses
• I'm worried about Akainu's actions. He seems like he might be power hungry, and is even more of a wild card than Aokiji to me. Loyal to the marines, yes, but I don't know to what extent.

I'll post more theories/opinions later, but for now, I need sleep

The sad, REAL American dichotomy

I wonder if at some point Luffy might become a Yonkou in the future? his strength seems to be on par with the Shichibukai but perhaps not quite Yonkou level... yet. I can imagine Luffy bringing the other Supernovas under him... sort of, it was mentioned he can make almost anyone an ally. Maybe Luffy will become something else altogether? His actions seem to have upset the balance of the three great powers. Then again who knows what's going to happen, but whatever does happen it's guaranteed to be awesome.

I wonder if Luffy will end up with his own network of allied crews, like Whitebeard's. He certainly has the abilities necessary to do so.

What I wanna see: The now-orphaned Whitebeard pirates renaming themselves "the Sons of the Father." That'd be such an awesome way to memorialize Whitebeard.

Also, Luffy's ultimate goal is Pirate King, so there's no doubt in my mind that Emperor is at least going to be a stop on the journey.

I can't believe it, I recently found myself coming up with my own One Piece story... and I loathe writing with a passion. So far I have most of the crew, the captain is a rokushiki user, the navigator has a wind/air based logia fruit, the chef has a mythical animal zoan fruit... dragon model, the musician/entertainer fights with puppets, the archeologist is basically a monk with a devil fruit that allows her to "see" things, etc. the only character I'm having problems with is the doctor, and I will probably make a few changes. also all the crew members are women except the captain though that's mostly because you see so few women in One Piece proper, not because of the most obvious reason. I think it's called a fanfic right?

It's already to late for me to turn back, and it's basically going to be the One Piece world but with my own characters and places, except things like the Grand Line, Red Line, and four Blues. Instead of a "seeing" devil fruit on a monk, I'm going with a "barrier" fruit. And I probably shouldn't post this here... so back to Luffy, if Luffy does get allied crews it will probably be the other Supernovas since so far everyone is either Luffy's mortal enemy or a friend and the other Supernovas didn't seem that evil

Hopefully this whole incident will inspire Ace to stop being lame and recover his abandoned ambition.

Besides she's WAY, WAY stronger than Luffy now, and such a change in group dynamics would be huge if she joined the Strawhats. She'll still be in the story for sometime to be sure, Oda left a huge plot hook about her thinking Luffy and her are married. She's bound to get pissed just sitting on Amazon Lilly waiting for him. Luffy is her 'husband' after all.

The chances of them getting together are slim as hell, but a shout out to Dragon Ball wouldn't surprise me at all. I doubt like hell that will be how its resolved though.

I think they will end up together, actually. She basically gave up everything for him, so I doubt Oda will leave her like that. Not that it will be a long marriage, since all signs point to Luffy dying young like Gol D. Roger. Just kidding.
