[up]x5: I'll need to see the whole fight. A hit with this much strength is quite unbelievable if the ratings are identical to what we've seen earlier.

Anyone noticed the short cameo of Vivio and Einhart in the most recent chapter of Force? I guess this cinches the continuity thing now.

I'll send the link tomororw if no one hasn't done so already, or you're welcome to post it here.

Damn, the link went dead. I should have saved that pic.

No worries, though. I'll find a way to get the proof.

I find myself greatly teased by the upper tier returning contestants group. Hats off to the writer for managing to pack that much of an organic interaction into a handful of panels. Though I can just see the doujin artists' pencils scribbling away, given that leaning the dialogue a little makes it almost look like a love triangle. (Sieg's blushing admiration could go either way). However, I'm intrigued by the potential influx of plot with Victor's reaction on this page here: [1]

That is not a happy face, and I start getting Rin/Sakura flashbacks. Vivid is too fluffy for anything like that, but I'm intrigued nonetheless.

I for one, would like to see what else is in store in Vivid. Looks like it'll take a little while before we see what else develops.

Now that I think about it, are both Vivid and Force on a monthly basis?

hmm, I've been thinking of a Nanoha/Digimon crossover.

Hmmmm.

They are basically Magical Girl meets Super Robot Wars and Mons meets Super Robot Wars respectively.

Why the fuck not?

Nanoha's association with Super Robot Wars, I can understand. But what does Digimon have to do with Super Robot Wars?

Meh, what I wouldn't give for a Nanoha/Gurren Lagann crossover. Can you imagine the epic Pure Awesomeness of Blaster-5!Unrestricted!Nanoha vs. Team Dai-Gurren's largest subplanetary-size mecha? (Sorry, don't remember the name.)

Yes they are.

And yeah, I enjoyed the scene with the tourney veterans. Friendly Enemy scenes are always fun. I have a feeling that Victoria's going to be one of my favorite characters in the series, but then again, I've always been a sucker for the Rarity types.

If only Miura wouldn't be guaranteed to lose at some point. My poor Miura.

Also, isn't Force bimonthly or something? After all Vivid has way more chapters at this point and considering Force is like 2 years old or something with only 16 chapters out...

[up][up]My problem might be the exact opposite, in that the characters might start winning based on their plot importance alone, and not actual abilities.

I am thinking of doing a Nanoha fanfic too, as a tie in to one of my rp forums on fanfiction.net.

I was hoping to ask for fan opinion on how to not make everyone incredibly angry at me.

[up]First question: when would the fic be set?
Second question: what would it cross over with? (it's almost guaranteed for Nanoha to cross over with something)

[up]

1) The fic is set eight years after Strikers. Five come from the first forum's continuity, it goes in a different continuity than the main Nanoha continuity. This is the forum I will try to turn into a fan fic.

2) While there are no direct crossovers, there is a humongous amount of Shout-Out's,

I have read through the character section of the forum, and I have to say I'm very worried.

Most if not all of the people described there would be ranked as epic level legendary figures based on their power level alone. Nanoha is S+ in Strikers without a limiter, Hayate is SS, with her strongest spells being around SSS (and she needs explicit approval to use these). Almost everyone here is at least SS. When people who have such a cavalier attitude as them get to throw tactical nukes around, things go off the rails very quickly.

The outrageous number of broken limiters or outright lack of them in the first place on TSAB operatives reeks of munchkin. Their histories are also rifle with clones and not-so-subtle hints of Sankt Kaiser or similar ancestry.

I'm just going to assume Max's listed age (5) is a typo and was supposed to be closer to 50.

Now, there are interesting ideas there, like the mage who randomly chooses his effective rank before combat, or a character that relies on AMF and kinetic weaponry (how come his own weapon magic-like abilities are not affected by it?), but they are overshadowed by the problems with everything else. Frankly, if I were the GM of that RP, the characters would have gotten instantly vetoed.

If you are going to use these characters, I strongly advise to get everyone past S debunked at least two ranks. It's best to look at Section 6 for the upper limit of how powerful a unit should be. The thing is, TSAB won't allow a mage in their ranks whom they can't control (no sane organization would).

There are a lot of clones, Max is one of them.

We did kinda get out of control with power levels, though the GM was largely to blame with his God-Mode Sue.

In the fic, I would scale things back accordingly to make things flow better.

"But what does Digimon have to do with Super Robot Wars?"

For one, Digimon is just as Toyetic as most super robot shows. 2. Like Super robot wars, the attacks are really flashy, and they have Calling Your Attacks in full play, and 3, Most of the protagonists are Hotblooded. Just like most Super Robot pilots.
