IT should be noted Vic was primarily removed from Funimation and Rooster Teeth. Apprently Viz has no problem since he was able to finish his role as Rohan in Jojo's dub.
Since Persona games aren't Funimation or RT, I don't think he'll be removed as Junpei.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I mean I'm pretty sure the Jojo dub was done before all this stuff came to light.
This song needs more love. It's ok, it's a very complicated situation.
I've opted for "He's good at his job, but very much a scumbag."
I won't boycott anything he's in for the sake of the other people who worked on it, but...yeah.
I generally only boycott stuff if the staff who worked on it was in some way abused or exploited, like, well, like pretty much every AAA game that is released nowadays.
There's exceptions to every rule, of course, but as a general guideline, I prefer to keep in mind that being a good professional and being a good person are very much not the same thing.
The only thing that Mignogna is a part of that I'm really attached to is Fullmetal Alchemist but the Manga is best version of it anyway so it's a non-issue.
On an unrelated note, there is no female Joker. There is officially no reason to think that mystery girl is anything other than the Marie of P5R.
This song needs more love.I really like that Joker's post battle in Smash is setup like Persona 5. That's cool attention to detail.
Health sure is versatile. It's possible to be both light-headed and dim-witted. At the same time, no less.Who/what was "Jane," then?
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."@lordVatek: nope. I thought so too, but he just tweeted about finishing recording his final lines. And this was long after all of this started.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well damn.
Ann is part of Joker's moveset and the Mementos stage. It was probably just her.
This song needs more love.Man Ryuji why you gotta dunk on of the best Persona (as in literal Persona, not game) of all time? :/
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I grew up on Vic, and came to view him as one of my favorite dub actors no matter what role he played. So I was pretty upset and disappointed at him once the news broke out. I'll still watch whatever he was a part of in the past, because enjoyable anime is enjoyable regardless, but I'm not interested in hearing him in future projects.

Yea, regardless if he still gets work or not, his reputation is basically dead lol.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Ann only appears in Joker's Final Smash, and "Jane" was listed exactly as an alt is.

The Weinstein Effect has really made me wary of admiring anyone to be honest.
...something that obviously ties into Persona 5 as well.
The pig of Hufflepuff pulsed like a large bullfrog. Dumbledore smiled at it, and placed his hand on its head: "You are Hagrid now."At this point the main problem with Vic is his Goddamn annoying-ass fans.
I was actually harassed by one of his defenders right on this site. Kept PM’ing & insulting me despite me warning them I’ll call the mods if they don’t stop.
Had to call the mods to get them to back off.
Also here’s hoping that Kamehameha Con gets some major support pulled from them for going back on originally not having Vic there.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Were they specifically tied to Joker?
Because if they weren't I suppose they could be an unannounced DLC.
This song needs more love. Now on the gameplay: I am liking what I'm seeing and it turns out they even incorporated the rest of Joker's team in a way! They even included the snazzy victory poses and cards from the game! They look a tad odd with more traditional CGI lighting but they all look like themselves at least. Of course this means the rest of the Thieves won't be full players in Smash, but it means they really took it literally by saying "Joker will stand for the entire Persona 5 game".

I am constantly realizing that in these situations it's not the person I hate the most. It's their followers. Because a ton of people teaming up for a cause, wrong or not, forms a ton more influence than one person.
I'm mostly certain they were in the datamine.
They usually don't include character skins in updates, but who knows.
I'd have to actually get a look at all of Joker's alts to maybe see what "Jane" actually is, if not then perhaps it'll be something unexpected in the future.
Mementos stage look awesome! Way better than in the actual game. They even included P3 and P4 skins! That's awesome.
I'm a bit disappointed the AOA portraits only include Ryuji, Ann, and Morgana. Was hoping for an all-team assault, but this is fine too.
About "Jane", I don't think we can say if she's debunked or not. She's apparently an alt skin, so unless they showcase all of Joker's skins (so far, only his standard school uniform) she's still in an unconfirmed state. Besides, why would they announce her in Smash before her own game?
Wouldn't be nearly the first time Smash has thrown in nods to games or elements of games that haven't come out yet. Such as the Wooly World stage, the Metal Gear Solid 4 stage in Brawl, Roy's entire character, etc.
"No will to break."We already know all of Joker's alts. He has two school uniforms and five colors of his default. That's it.
This song needs more love.Actually, Joker's AAA Final Smash randomly chooses either the founding members of the Phantom Thieves or the latter half. The full "Direct" shows off the other one with Yusuke, Makoto, and Haru when talking about his moveset.
Here's the renders for all of Joker's costumes with one referencing Akechi.
Here's a video:

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
I dunno, I routinely get him and Todd confused for one another. There's a slight difference in their voices I've learned to listen for, but I still occasionally get tripped up.
I'm 100% aware Vic was Junpei though.
