Before he went totally batshit, there were some implications he'd grown a little attached to the group (wanting Shido to go easy on them, and also the fact he seemed a little sad in the initial confrontation. He kinda sorta implies wishing he'd known about heart changing before hand and all that).

Of course, like I sad he goes fully lunatic not too long after, but there's some implication that if things had been different, he'd be a very different guy.

How good was the writing in the first Q game?

Passable, I guess. Everyone was flanderized and the two new characters were kinda flat, but it did have its good points.

Because it wouldn't make sense for a robot to have a concept of internalized homophobia?

No, it doesn't make sense, because she's explicitly said before that she doesn't identify as female to begin with. Thats my main issue, but where would she have picked up homophobia in the first place? She's barely interacted with anyone before, never talked about it with anyone that we saw and by all appearances had no interest in reading or experiencing popular entertainment. Why bother reading manga when you can stalk your crush amirite?

I'd kinda be on board if they try and manage to pull off akechi turning good. P5 clearly states at least a part of him regret the way things ended and would have liked to meet joker before he went off the slope, so he's not incapable of acknowledging that what he did was horrible. That, and he seemed to genuinely like the group. I could see them taking the reasoning to its conclusion and work decently well so long as they acknowledge he nonetheless has a lot to answer about.

p3p hinted at her being a more cheery and energetic person than regular protag so I'd expect them to go that road to contrast with the male protag.

Indeed. The female protagonist's interface was also pink instead of blue. That's all I will say though because sh-

Hopefully P6’s mascot has no interest in women whatsoever.

Oh god just the thought of Morgana and Teddie interacting in general gives me a headache.

I'll be surprised if P6's Magician character is female and her crush dies before the game's events even start.

I was excited enough when I first saw the trailer, but I did not know until someone pointed it out that my favorite Pancake Boi is in.

I need this game now. (Hopefully I don't get completely stuck near the end like in Q1)

Also, I hope that Akechi and Ken have some interesting interactions over their parental situations and their incredibly thirst for vengeance. Also the fact that Akechi is still mentally a child in many ways.

When she appears in the trailer, the voiceover says "I am him, and he is me?" or something like that.

Back onto Persona Q2 itself, I like the movie aesthetic they're going for with this game. So far we seem to have Not-Jurassic Park and typical alien invaders flick. The girl looks cute, I wonder how she'll play a role in the story?

I wonder if this'll be a worldwide release. The first wasn't but that was four years ago.

Persona Q was a world wide release. On Q2, it seems interesting so far.

pq1 was released in japan in june of 2014, it was released everywhere else about 6 months later

Seems like an awful lot of characters TBH.

Which means the script is going to be even worse.

I can't wait to see the P5 cast flanderized like crazy!

But no really, I'm hyped. I get Yosuke, Ryuji, and Junpei on the same team. Oh.Yes.
