I can also take over droid, if you'd like. Are we talking protocol or astromech?

I was thinking more of a humanoid droid, but feel free to create an astromech if you prefer.

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.

Right then, I'll go with a modified M-3PO. I'm not sure how much you wanted it to be meant for combat and how much for interfacing, so I've tried to balance them somewhat.

* Name: Insofar as proper name is concerned, none.

  • Age: Manufacturing date unknown, believed to have been built sometime between the Battles of Yavin and Hoth
  • Role: Designed as a military protocol droid, this droid has was used in its primary function for only a short time before being "acquired" by a mercenary-cum-pirate group. After some reprogramming and modification, is now capable of interfacing with most computers, and quite adept at defending itself.
  • Species: N/A
  • Gender (If applicable): None really, but has been addressed as male for most of the time.
  • Personality: He's no-nonsense, straightforward, and has no qualms about doing some rather terrible things, but would prefer to adhere to nonviolent methods at all times. When provoked into fighting, shows no mercy unless ordered to, and will usually view killing as just a means for his own safety. He's also pretty much oblivious to veiled insults, but no stranger to humour in general. Of course, considering who reprogrammed him, his sense of humour sometimes includes putting the ship they've just raided into a alarmless locked self-destruct, while sending out a distress signal and trying to lure as many people to it as possible.
  • Appearance: Matte black paint all over, except for two stylised diamond insignias on his shoulders, and three diagonal dark blue stripes down his front - the colours of the mercenary group that owns him.
  • Powers/Equipment: Fingers have been built to accomodate a set of interfacing tools not dissimilar from those of the R2 series, in order to disguise the droid's hacking capabilities. A restraining bolt is there purely as a cosmetic addition, to fool others into thinking he can be shut down. In reality, it's not real, and after being "switched off" he will often then wait for the right moment to wander freely about the place, or act as a recording device for blackmail. Some programming has been added to allow him to use most simple blaster weapons, with two pairs of holdouts actually integrated into the upper part of the chestpiece. The outer shell has been retrofitted to be able to withstand most small-arms fire; anything short of a proper rifle or carbine will take a while to do real harm.
  • Backstory: After being inducted into the mercenary group, he was given great freedom and now even "earns" a share of the income, which he'll mostly use to upgrade parts of himself. The mercs don't see this as any trouble, since he's quite invaluable on some of their missions, and they actively encourage weaponising him as much as possible. He himself would prefer to be a bit more autonomous these days, but doesn't make any attempts as he'd prefer not to be vaporised.

I'm surprised that we're doing a Star Wars thing and we're waiting on people to make a Jedi and a Scoundrel. That's very bizarre to me.

Grr. Argh.

I was thinking of making a scoundrel, but I've played as that kind of class far too often by now and wanted to try something else.

EDIT: Also, if later on someone wants to take over the droid, that's also fine by me.

so how much tension do you think will be between the Jedi Mandalorian and Sith?

Lots. I've been trying to figure out if they could work together at all or if it'll just be scowling and trying to destroy each other most of the time. It's not so much that they have different morals - each of them is the antithesis of what the other wants, and while violence isn't wholly inevitable, it'd be hard to take on the roles without clashing sometimes.

At least that's my thinking on the matter. Depending on how it goes, I could be proven entirely wrong.

Honestly the way I see it, Verde will have respect for the Jedi and Sith's combat prowess, but that where it ends. If the Jedi unknowingly provokes him, things may come to blows but will probably stay grudgingly neutral for the most part. The Sith on the hand all bets are off, more so to the fact that Sith will probably deliberately antagonize him.

  • Name: Azalyn Miilarta
  • Age: 21
  • Role: Jedi
  • Species:Human (Hapan)
  • Gender (If applicable):Male
  • Personality: His less-than-ideal upbringing on Hapes imbued Azalyn with a severe misogynistic streak, although he keeps it hidden. He often comes off as diplomatic and extremely warm and caring by coming off as someone who wouldn't injure an insect, but often comes off as seriously insincere streak to those who know him for a long time as he uncannily (creepily) often fails to express any emotions in situations that normal people would.
  • Appearance: Azalyn is shorter than the average human male, taller than the average human female, and thus much shorter than both the average Hapan male and female, something that made much of his childhood worse. Despite his apparent disdain for much of Hapan culture, he carried over a very Hapan vanity, and dedicated serious amounts of time to his personal appearance, something that was scorned in the Order. His skin is also naturally paler than most others, and when combined with his choice of lightsaber color, occasionally cause people to reach unfortunate but inaccurate conclusions.
  • Powers/Equipment: Azalyn proved rather....not capable in finding natural crystals, so special permission was given to him to synthesize a crystal. As such, despite his best efforts, his lightsaber turned out blood red. He proved rather...disappointing at lightsaber combat, so he rarely uses it anyways. He also carries on him various holdout stun pistols and stun grenades. Azalyn has an unusual degree of skill as a healer, though he was discouraged from continuing that path due to the fact that his healing was often excruciatingly painful. Azalyn also has a degree of skill with telekinesis, although he is terrible at controlling it and it often only kicks in when he is panicked. He has an uncanny ability with disguising himself and won praise in the order because of his uncannily diplomatic ability to settle disputes, not because of any serious combat abilities.
  • Backstory: Azalyn was born to a working-class family in the extremely stratified society of Hapes. His mother died in childbirth, but his father saved up furiously to send Azalyn to an academy above his station in society and he proved academically adept (partially due to his unbelievable force-derived luck), but he was essentially rejected by a society that viewed him as entirely parvenu. His father was hit and crippled by an intoxicated Hapan noblewoman's vehicle, who got off scot-free, further solidfying his distaste for his society. As his anger stewed, a Jedi Knight on a mission to apprehend (in notoriously anti-Jedi Hapan eyes, kidnap) that same noblewoman, who had been funding piracy in Republic space. The disguised Knight, upon casually encountering Azalyn, was shocked when he easily fingered his true identity. Azalyn gladly assisted him, quite adeptly, in detaining the woman. The Knight brought back the noblewoman as Azalyn snuck aboard on his freighter. The noblewoman mysteriously "escaped" the freighter from an escape pod while in hyperspace, essentially ensuring her slow death, giving the Knight some misgivings, but he still recommended Azalyn to the council. Despite being considerably older than most new force-sensitives, he was so outrageously force-sensitive that they took him anyways. His prodigious force sensitivity and his natural diplomatic nature made him one of the most successful Padawans, with a nearly flawless record that allowing him to sail past many of his embarrassing force-related shortcomings. However, Knights and Masters often found him insufferably impossible to connect with or get "close" with, and unlike most Padawans who stick with and become close to one Master, Azalyn was often shifted around. In addition, during his Jedi Trials upon becoming a knight, he miserably failed every single trial so disastrously, that a typical Padawan would have been "let go" from the order, not even sent into the Jedi Service Corps. Due to his exemplary record however, Azalyn was sent out...in order to prove his "abilities" to at least enter one of those service corps...(preferably the Edu Corps or Med Corps).

I do have to admit it is pretty vague. I'm not really an expert on the Star Wars universe, so after looking through the timeline I was thinking the game will be set on 2216 BBY.

Still, I accept suggestions for some other time period the players might want.

what exactly would be going on in that time frame?. and are we still waiting on the final two players?

I choose a place in the time line where nothing much was happening so that I could have some freedom in making up the threats the team would be facing.

And yes, we are still waiting for the last member of the team to be submitted.

The Rogue/Scoundrel/Pilot.

Basically someone that has survived by themselves. A counterpoint for a disciplined soldier.

Also after so much time lets have a role call is everyone still here?

Name: Tosh Spriggs

Age: 24

Role: Rogue

Species: Human (Tatooine)

Gender (If applicable): Male

Personality: He used to be open and have a positive outlook on life, but after his parents' deaths, he grew cynical, in no small part due to the influence of his morose older brother. Now quiet and introspective, he doesn't talk much, preferring to listen to others and have them start conversations with him. Despite his quietness, he is also very self-confident, believing himself to be better than everyone else.

Appearance: Tosh is of slightly above average height and stocky build. He has emerald-colored eyes and short jet-black hair. He has a large scar stretching down the right side of his face. He usually wears a black leather jacket and desert-camo pants.

Powers/Equipment: Rather than attempt at a social life after his parents’ deaths, Tosh focused on learning to pilot as many forms of transport as he could, just so he could get away from everything. His repertoire ranges from speeder bikes to landspeeders to freighters, and his parents’ ship, the freighter Rising Hope, is his prized possession, one which he has fitted with many personalizations. His brother trained him to dual-wield blasters, as well as use a light automatic rifle, but he prefers close-quarters combat. He currently carries a large knife, a light automatic rifle, and his brother's two blasters.

Backstory: Tosh grew up on a farm on Tatooine to merchant parents. He and his much older brother Harry formed a close bond due to the physical distance between their farm and the nearest city. This bond would prove essential to Tosh as, when he was only 10 years old, raiders killed his parents. His brother, at that point a member of the Navy, returned to Tatooine to raise him. Both filled with a thirst for revenge, Harry trained Tosh in combat so that they could one day hunt down their parents’ killers. As soon as he could, Tosh entered the Naval Academy, graduated at the top of his class due to his brother’s teachings. Shortly after Tosh graduated, Harry located the raiders who killed their parents. The two brothers hunted down the killers and wiped them out, although Harry was gravely wounded and died soon after. Since then, Tosh has been a freelance smuggler.
