I wonder if that weird Symbosis glitch is still in Gen VII.

Passimian is now a better Primeape. Oranguru may have some niche, between Instruct and Symbiosis some weird stuff may arise.

And the things we are missing are Telepathy Tapus, Flame Body Heatran, Original Magearna and Eternal Floette.

I miss a parallel Dream World metagame where every species in the game is usable, no matter if they are legally released or not.

Would Telepathy even be viable on the Tapus? I can see you not wanting to override your preferred terrain if you're using two Tapu... but is the ability to EQ next to your own Koko worth the loss of Electric Terrain, when Protect is a thing?

Nope! There's going to be a Bulky Pivot set for Tapu Koko with no Protect, but at this point, Earthquake has been even more rare in Doubles with the rise of Tapu Bulu and Landorus using special moves more.

It might be worth putting on Fini if you're using another Tapu? The rest are too offense-oriented

Fini could use it with Scald... but that's it.

Telepathy is pretty much the HA equivalent of Pressure.

you guys just don't get it...tapu koko telepathy will be the meta. i'm gonna roll up to VGC and defeat Cybertron and Wolfe Glick. They have nothing on me, the king, with their boring-ass Lamenala and Incinesnore teams...

unrelated: what do you guys think are the chances of Intimidate or Knock Off being nerfed are? GF, with the -ilate nerf and neutering everything good about Mega-Kangaskhan, are clearly balancing for VGC and Incin' is basically on every single relevant VGC team. At this point, it's like a team is playing at a disadvantage without it.

Genuinely not sure about this, because Incineroar isn't really outright broken. It's more like a glue-mon, that offers ridiculous utility and role-compression like Lando-T and Heatran in OU. Those two are cockroaches on the OU ladder at the moment but you aren't sweeping with Heatran.

Maybe make it so that Intimidate only works above half health? Like, your Pokemon won't be intimidated by the opponent anymore if they can see that it's heavily injured, as the in-universe justification.

isn't Mega Mom still pretty good after the nerf?

From what I've heard, I think it's just because of Seismic Toss, which is unaffected by Parental Bond weakening the second hit. As it is, Mega Kanghaskhan at level 100 does two hits of 100 damage, adding up to 200 total, when she logically should do one hit of 100 and another hit of 25, adding up to 125 total.

mega mom got totally neutered for vgc specifically in a bunch of important areas.

there is the obvious parental bond nerf but there are two other big ones. Sucker Punch got reduced from 80 to 70 and Power-Up Punch isnt a TM in USM which means Kang cant utilize it in that format.

M-Kang is still too much...for specifically 6v6 Smogon formats. In VGC and Battle Spot Singles it puts in the work but it isnt the monster it once was.

It's not worth dropping Misty Surge just for Scald since there's many status to worry about in OU, and Fini strives here because it prevents them. Thunder Wave and Will-o-Wisp aren't viable in DOU now, but it can be still handy for stuff like Spore and Toxic (that's a long story).

Knock Off could go back to being 20 BP, but I rather not. Dark types got enough nerf with Fairies around.

Fini causes Thunder Wave and Will O' Wisp to be unviable.

Yeah, it'd probably have to be relatively inaccurate like most sleep moves (or maybe not, since it wouldn't be quite as widely available), but it could and should be a thing.

Tl;DW: Rayquaza has always been a beast of a Pokemon, even in its lowest of times.

Mega-Ray being banned from Ubers is one of the most beautiful stories Pokemon has ever created.

Rayquaza is so far the one sucessor to Mewtwo.

He came, he fucked up Ubers, and then he left. Magnificent.

I'm actually impressed that GF didn't make something for Mewtwo to put it on the same level as Mega Fug.

Like, I dunno, Mega Mewtwo XYZ with individual stats higher than some pokemon's entire BST.
