Furret's kinda become popular ever since that post pointing out its size, huh?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I wonder... will we get new weather, new terrain, or will we just stick with what we already have for those?
So, a thunderstorm or something?
Wake me up at your own risk.I could see a Poison Terrain/Acid Rain being a thing.
Poison Fog and High Winds as new weathers, and Earthen Terrain and Dark Terrain as new terrains.
And then some new third kind of arena effect for the remaining six types; Bug, Normal, Ghost, Fighting, Steel, and Dragon.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I imagine that Acid Rain weather would damage any and all Pokemon on the battlefield that are not either Poison type or Steel type. Fairy types wouldn't take more damage from it, which is kinda merciful considering how much I despise the type's very existence for [REDACTED]-ing over Dark types. Poison fog though could increase the damage of Poison-type moves by 50% and weaken Fairy-type moves by 50%.

I think you could change Sticky Web into a terrain move.
It's been 3000 yearsβ¦throw in a Hail buff too
Secret SignatureI see a Smokey Terrain down the line. Increases Poison effects (e.g.: "poisoned" becomes "badly poisoned") and empowers Poison-type attacks.
... And that's called jazz! Here's an idea for a new weather along with its associated move: Darkness, which is caused by the Dark type status move Dark Clouds. 5 PP, and it's effect is that the move covers the battlefield in darkness. In darkness, Solar Beam's power is reduced by 50%, Castform turns into a new form that is Dark type, Weather Ball becomes a Dark type move, and almost all moves suffer a 15% loss in accuracy (if you can't see, you'll have a hard time hitting your opponent and certain attacks like Feint Attack and Swift are always accurate). The move Flash will instantly remove Darkness from the field however and anything with Keen Eye will never lose accuracy in Darkness. Darkness of course can and will occur naturally in caves that do not have light sources.

Bring fog back as a proper weather condition, with a move and ability to set it up, a held rock to extend it with, a Sand/Slush Rush counterpart, and Pokemon immune to its effects (Ghost or Dark types, Keen Eye, etc.).
Fog exists in Pokemon Go, where it buffs Ghost and Dark types. Since it's the only weather in Go without an ingame counterpart (except Cloudy, which I interpret as default weather) it has a (long) shot.
Speaking of, a Windy weather that's a weaker version of Delta Stream. Supereffective attacks do 25% less damage to Flying-types (as though they had Prism Armor), and Hurricane's accuracy boost is moved from Rain to Windy.
A society grows great when old men plant trees whose shade they know they will never sit in.Or just give Hurricane an accuracy boost in both. Or maybe keep the accuracy boost in Rain, but give it a weaker accuracy boost in Windy, as well as a Power boost.
I seem to remember a competitive mode in a previous Generation where you gained points over the course of a battle that you could trade in to use certain in-battle items. How was that? I always thought it was a cool idea, but I don't think it came back. I really like the idea of folding items into battle strategy in a balanced way.
Fog existed in DPPt, but wasn't kept after that. Who knows why.
Oh, yeah, the Wonder Launcher from Gen V. It was pretty interesting. They even had "items" to activate an ability or held item manually.
That's somewhat what Fog from the gen IV games was. Everybody hated fog.
Why did everyone hate fog?
"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"Fog lowers the accuracy of every move by 40%. (Technically it's a x0.6 multiplier.)
It's terrible.

"Any campaign world where an orc samurai can leap off a landcruiser to fight a herd of Bulbasaurs will always have my vote of confidence"The lack of immunities to the effect was probably what made it so annoying. The only way around it was to clear it with the useless-in-PvE Defog, or have always-accurate moves or No Guard. If there had been certain types/abilities that were immune (like there are for hail/sandstorm), it wouldn't have been so bad.
Maybe any Pokemon with the ability Keen Eye should have been immune to Fog - they don't suffer from it since their accuracy can't drop.

If Sound type becomes a thing, make Dark types resist it/super-effective against it as nocturnal creatures rely often on sound. Also, Ice types should resist Water type moves because if the logic that Water resists Water and Ice because its the same thing in a liquid and solid state, and that Ice types resist Ice moves because they are the same, they should also resist Water types
So Iβve beaten the second gym and did the side quest to Slateport Ive also caught a Makhuita (Hulk Hogan) Geodude (Rocky) Zubat(Casscain) whismur (Skrillex), Shroomish (Mario) Silcoon(PL Sevolve) Aron(Arin Hanson), Sableye (Psychomant), Magikarp(Killyouall), and Minium(Vergil)
You're going to pay a price for every bloody thing you do and everything you don't do. You don't get to choose to not pay a price.
