I had a pretty funny thought; if they did remake Diamond and Pearl and you had to fight Cynthia and her Garchomp. You wouldn't have to do much to make that fight harder lol.

I'd imagine they'd scale the levels a bit and give her a mega. I wouldn't be surprised by that.

I mean, her Garchomp was Lv 66 in the original games. Any higher and you'd have to do some serious level grinding.
Think Kukui/Hau maxed at 66 when you first faced them.

Kukui is max 56 not including the Title Defense, 65 including it. Hau is 63 for the Title Defense in SM and max 60 for the Champion Battle, max 70 for the Title Defense in USUM.
Isn't Garchomp's Mega form generally considered a downgrade though?

M-Chomp is old news now. By the time we get gen 4 remakes there will be some new gimmick that will help Chomp relive its glory days.

Can Megas and Pokemon with Z-moves be on the same team? If so, just give Lucario a Mega Stone and give Garchomp Devastating Drake.

Its not like Garchomp still isn't strong as fuck. Outside of Megas, it's still one of the fastest and strongest Pokemon in the game.

Well we've gotten power up items for Pokemon, and then power up items for moves, from the process of elimination, next it's power up items for items.

Considering a bunch of megas get really good abilities like Tough Claws or Huge Power or Aerilate and whatnot, that seems a bit redundant.

Steven's Metagross got a Mega Evolution because the player has access to Mega Evolution themself.
Unless DPP remakes give you a Mega Ring during the story, Cynthia's Garchomp might be fine as-is. Unless there's some other new gimmick to account for.

Considering Inkay was a thing, I could see that happening. Maybe it's a hermit crab, docked mode gives it a shell and it's durable but slow, portable mode has it go shell-less and it's fragile but fast.
