Recommend me a very stereotypical Western FPS...

Wait, so the point of this topic is to have people recommend stereotypical things to you and then you refuse them to prove that you don't enjoy stereotypical things. So basically it's a Foregone Conclusion where you set yourself up to be a jackass who asks for things you don't like just so you can mock the people who took you seriously. I'm not sure how this is supposed to improve your reputation. The other topic that this is apparently based on was made in good faith and answered in good faith, while yours is just a twisted mockery. Just like you're a twisted mockery of a human being.

No offense, but I fail to see the point of this thread. You want us to recommend you very stereotypical FPS, but you refuse to play them, thereby castrating this thread of all meaning.

Unless of course, you made this thread for the sole purpose of proving you are not stereotypical, which, quite frankly, comes off as a desperate attempt to get some attention and recognition.

My two cents on the games you should play? Because they are by their very nature stereotypical and what i think you were asking for?

• Rare 64 shooters (Made the console genre what it is)
• Doom (It's fucking Doom.)

I don't expect you to take these recommendations, as you've proven throughout this thread. But here it is. These are the games your opening post was asking for.

Hmmm....

System Shock 1 & 2? They're one of the better FPS games out there... Cyberpunk and horror, what more do you want?

Also, Operation Flashpoint. There is a port of that game for the Xbox...

Other than these games, I have nothing else.

Even though it's probably just an artifact of snowcloning the JRPG one, the title of this thread has caused me to wonder: What would be some eastern FPSs, and what would their primary characteristics be?

All I can think of is former Warsaw Pact developers, off the top of my head.

^Filled with various amounts of bugs, various levels of graphics ranging from good to bad, various gameplay styles, some interesting innovation, and lots of obscurity.

There are more JFPS than people thinks, though they're postively dwarfed by the Western output. Examples include Robotica (has randomly-generated levels) and Outtrigger (an arcade take on the genre).
